I did enjoy the water slide
The life guard on duty but they had headphones on and were on there phone… they had no clean towels in the pool area. The stairs had a dirty towel that had been sitting over night. I was also charged the full night stay upfront and was not informed. And was charged a $300 deposit…
Was hoping for an accessible room, not many are available. Changes could be made to regular rooms to make them safer for all. Included breakfast needs works. Just toast, bagels, coffee, yogurt, and cereal were not enough.
It was surprising to see the CO detectors on the ceiling, should have been the floor.
Very clean , the most comfortable bed and pillows we’ve ever had in a hotel!!
There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like !
We stayed here last year and wanted to come back. For some reason this year was not as good. The first problem was that the AC was so loud and didn’t even work that well. It was an accessible room so even though we appreciated the tall toilet and large bathroom, the shower attachment was in need of adjustment. Needs to be replaced.
The king bed was great. Comfortable and the pillows were excellent. Loved the breakfast with so many choices. Water in the lobby was an extra bonus.
Not sure we will be back. We may try another hotel in Kamloops.
The restaurant on site was nice. The staff were very friendly.

Pool barely used but staff didn't allow my nieces to use. Other hotels have been accommodating.

Prestige Kamloops Hotel is a newly renovated hotel in Kamloops. The location is close to the highway amongst many other hotels. It works as a stop along the highway. Check-in went poorly, the clerk was brusque but then overcompensated by trying to be funny. Fortunately, the manager noticed our reaction and we were upgraded. However, we were not impressed with the bathroom in our upgraded room - it was very small. The good news is the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was quiet, but perhaps we were away from the highway.
We made our booking through my BestWestern membership (this hotel is "affiliated" to BestWestern). That is a marriage of convenience as it lacks the pleasant atmosphere (where are the water bottles and cookies??) and the points of a BestWestern. And the big one - no breakfast! A voucher doesn't cut it for us and we ate elsewhere. We stayed at a Marriot earlier in the week and the comparison is not even close and it was for a similar cost.
Checkout took an age - seemed to be a complex process needing much staring at the screen.
Summary - over priced and under provided.
Booked 3 months ago. Called to confirm reservation. And still gave the room to another person. Gave us a lesser room with a 20 dollar discount. Wow
Enjoyed our stay, staff was very helpful, overall facility is about 8.5. The food & the staff in the Chinese restaurant were both excellent. would stay again.
