Pros:

I loved the pantry access. We paid more for it, and was happy to. I think it’s a great feature and will look to stay on Detla’s in future with this feature.

Great location - 15 minute walk to the Waterfront. Nice big, clean modern room. Friendly staff

Cons:

Parking wasn’t free - $31 a night. They gave the option to wave the fee if you forgo daily cleaning services.

When we arrived at 10 pm after our flight the doors were locked and no one at the desk. We were surprised by that since it’s a large hotel downtown. We had to knock on the door and someone from the kitchen came to let us in. Also another night we ordered a desert/ cheesecake that was inedible. We took one bite and took it to the restaurant to return it . They were Not able to refund us. That desert should be removed from the menu.

Pros:

My Mom and I loved our stay here! The hotel staff were super kind and welcoming, with everything ranging from providing us a map of the local area to helping us with luggage storage. Our room wasn't ready by check-in time so we got an upgrade! Our room was clean and comfortable, and very quiet. The restaurant on site is a great option for eating at if you don't feel like going out.

La modernité des lieux, la propreté, le personnel courtois, les mets délicieux au restaurant de l’hôtel et l’hôtel est vraiment bien situé au centre-ville d’Halifax.

Cons:

J’aurais aimé que le personnel parle en français et non pas seulement en anglais.
