Categories

Cleanliness
9.4
Multiple guests report very clean rooms and newly refurbished bathrooms; one guest reported a broken toilet seat and an isolated issue but overall cleanliness was praised.
Service
9.4
Service is mixed in text: several reports of very helpful and attentive staff (moved guest rooms, good reception from some staff), balanced by a few reports of rude reception/cleaning staff and slow breakfast replenishment. Overall staff handled issues well in many cases.
Location
9.4
Location noted as handy for M5/overnighters with a large car park — convenient for travellers, which guests repeatedly praised.
Room Quality
8.6
Several negative points: air conditioning failures, very hard beds/sofas, creaky sofabed, broken toilet seat and other maintenance issues; some rooms described as refreshed and comfortable but room quality was the clearest area of complaint.
Amenities
9.4
Amenities are basic but largely functional (parking, in-room toiletries). Some guests reported problems with coffee machines, limited hospitality tray contents and lack of glasses — these appear to be isolated or service-related issues rather than systemic amenity failure.
Value for Money
9.4
A few guests felt the hotel was 'bit pricey' for basic provisions and noted an unexpected car-park charge, but many found the offering reasonable for the hotel tier and location.
Food and Beverage
8.6
Mixed feedback: several complaints about poor breakfast quality, empty/failed coffee machines and limited morning choices; others praised the breakfast and the restaurant dinner. Overall F&B reliability is inconsistent.
Overall Experience
9.4
Overall impressions are positive (clean, convenient location, helpful staff in many cases) though some guests had stays negatively affected by room faults, hard beds or breakfast issues; the cumulative experience remains largely favorable.

Breakfast could be better selection and displayed better

Great but the parking charge was a big negative
Pros:

It was very clean and well presented

Cons:

The parking! If I’d known I was going to get charged £9 this would have made me choose elsewhere. £9 a night is a disgraceful rip off

A brilliant stopover to break our journey.
Pros:

The bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good - we enjoyed the fruits of the forest with granola followed by bacon, egg, beans, toast etc. The staff were extremely helpful. We had forgotten our mobile phone charger and really needed to use our phones, so the reception staff found us a charger to borrow, which was brilliant.

Cons:

The overnight car parking charge of £9 seemed excessive.

£215 RIDICULOUS FOR SOLO TRAVELER!!!!
Pros:

Clean modern property.

Cons:

Paid £215 (solo traveler) which was ridiculous for what it is! No water or biscuits in room, no gym.Bar area unwelcoming and sterile.Breakfast poor, no egg choice, bacon sat in oil and overdone! Car park fee though it’s hotels own car park? 2 single beds when I ‘d clearly booked a large double bed!
