Comfortable room in a great location

The property is a beautiful historic building, both the pub and hotel rooms are decorated to a high standard with amazing period features. The property is very well situated, within 5 minutes walk of Bank Underground Station. Ideal location.
We ate in the pub one of the evenings, the pies are amazing!
The staff in both the pub and the hotel were fantastic, the amazing lady on reception helped me out with a wardrobe malfunction - nothing was too much trouble!

Very close to Paddington Station. Worked well for our day trips and our final trip to the airport.
The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean. There is a fantastic restaurant and bar downstairs that gives you a discount for staying in the hotel. It was located near the tram and had lots of shops and restaurants around it.
It is an older building and the lift is SUPER small, but it works.

I booked to location due to a conference - best thing was the air con, as during a heatwave! Bed very comfy, grateful for the canned soft drinks in the fridge, reception very friendly
Entrance a little tricky as door to a closed lift and coming back late evening, also several stairs to negotiate with bags appreciate it's an old building. Wanted a kettle in the room, as only a coffee pod machine was supplied. When I asked they said they didn't offer kettles ... there was no natural light in the room as the window was frosted glaze. Overall felt very overpriced (but it's London so hey ho!).

We are tea drinkers - you can't make a decent cup of tea with the water from the Nespresso machine provided in the room - prefer a proper kettle. Nor from the flasks of hot water provided at breakfast. However a member of staff did make us tea in a pot. We also thought that limiting people to one hot drink at breakfast seemed rather mean - and unusual. Most places these days provide unlimited hot drinks.
Also there was only one bedside light and it wasn't really a reading light.

Die eine Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption war nicht sehr freundlich. Alle Anderen waren wundervoll.
