Terrible experience. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel!
First, the reception was extremely unprofessional. Due to a single-letter typo in the name on our Wego booking, the hotel confiscated our passports! Despite Wego’s support team contacting them and our continuous attempts throughout our entire vacation, the hotel management completely refused to cooperate or help.
Second, the AC broke down and started blowing hot air. They moved us to another room that was extremely far away, which was exhausting.
Third, the smell throughout the hotel and the lobby was consistently awful. Poor service and bad management. Never again.

Very disappointing experience at Movenpick Myth Hotel Patong Phuket.

We had an unnecessary issue during check-in because of ONE letter difference in the surname on the booking, even though it was clearly the same passport and same guest. The hotel kept bothering us about it every single day and even held our passports over such a small issue.

On top of that, the AC in both rooms was not cold at all. We couldn’t sleep properly the whole night because the rooms were hot. They sent someone twice to “fix” it, but nothing changed. Then very late at night, after we were already exhausted and had a flight, they asked us to pack and move to another room on another floor.

Completely unacceptable for a hotel at this level. The whole experience was stressful and exhausting instead of relaxing.

The location is absolutely excellent. Everything we
needed was nearby, and we could walk to the restaurants along Patong Beach in about 15–30 minutes.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very kind.


The pool-access rooms had a lovely view.

Their welcome drink, along with the sweet dessert plate and beautifully decorated bed for our anniversary, was such a thoughtful and lovely gesture from them.

This hotel always delights us. The facilities are great. Our room has pool access and the pool is marvelous. There are many restaurants and massage salons within walking distance. We also want to thank the staff for making us feel so welcome. Special thanks to Baimint, Yoon, Phoebe, Risa and Owen. And thank you to the concierge and drivers who took us to Patong beach and Jung Ceylon. And thanks to the staff who manage the chocolate hour! Even their housekeeping staff are polite and cheerful. I hope all the staff continue to be happy at Movenpick. 🥰

I had a wonderful stay at Mövenpick Phuket and truly enjoyed everything about the hotel. The room was comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming.

What made the experience even more special was the exceptional hospitality from the reception team. A special thank you to Vicky and Tiffy Tak for being so kind, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. They always greeted us with a smile and made sure everything was perfect.

I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely love to come back again!

Pool and bed

Everything was good.

This is a first rate hotel! We have spent a wonderful four night's in a very comfortable poolside room which was extremely spacious with a huge bed. The bathroom was excellent with all that we could have wanted provided.

The welcome at reception was warm and genuine. We were made to feel very much a part of the family. Chocolate hour each afternoon was a treat as was the happy hour offering each evening.

Another highlight each evening, was the dining experience at Atrio restaurant where the fabulous team in the kitchen led by head chef, Hugo, chef Tian and others, produced some exquisite meals each evening of our stay. Breakfast each morning was also spectacular with a wonderful selection to cater for every taste.

The hotel is a clever design with the pool surrounded by the accommodation on three sides, with the Azure pool bar and Atrio restaurant completing and enclosing the rectangle. We chose to stay in a pool access room which was very much appreciated when we could so easily cool off by just stepping out of our room.

The Movenpick brand is well known for the chocolate hour in many of their hotels. We enjoyed our afternoon tea and chocolates accompanied by iced coffees on the days we stayed. The Barrocco bar, located in the spacious atrium was a very pleasant area to sit and watch the comings and goings of fellow travellers.

My wife took advantage of the Spa which she said was excellent. So good she went twice! The Spa therapist, Oil, was very good!

We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay there on any return we might make. It was very nice to meet the General Manager, Jeremy along with the wonderful head chef, Hugo, during our stay. They made us very welcome!

Thank you must go to all the staff throughout the hotel who made our stay. So enjoyable. Sadly we did not get everyone’s name.
