Good vibe and location friendly people.
False advertising on the parking. It’s not included and a ten minute walk away and $47 more.
The property was well located and very clean. It was an older property but was value for money given it's location.
There was some issues with the wifi but were always resolved.
I had read these reviews before we got there so I knew it would be a challenge but it was worse than that. We were there for 10 nights so we had a good chance to look around the place and it was apparent we had the worse room in the place. Small, very noisy and run down. We were above a fast food restaurant that played music continually. The road noise was continuous as well. We had no balcony or view so had to hang out by the pool. We managed to get a electric jug and toaster by asking as they're not in the room. We worked out by watching others that there was a towel service and beach gear available but none of that was explained to us at check in. Some staff tried others were fairly neutral. Other guests were complaining about their room to us but I kept telling them that there were worse rooms.

Noisy cramped room. The only window looked straight out into a elevator and was directly above a fast food kitchen.

That if you are a women traveling alone this is not a safe property as there is no security around to help assist you in case of a emergency. As I had a man try to touch me and grab me right outside there property and I tried to ask for help and there was no one there available only a young girl who got scared and ran too from the front registration desk to some room I do t know but. I then found out that that guy that had done that to me was staying there at that hotel too so I then decided to leave for my safety and also there room doors are not safe either there is only a thin old rusty chain that holds this old ran down door because the door did not close properly on my room during my stay there at this hotel. So they pictures that are on here are definitely not why it actually looks like when you arrive there.
The location of Royal grove Waikiki was central among other hotels very close to the beach and shops. The staff were friendly.
Hotel is older and shows its age, although reasonably well maintained. Very conveniently located 2 blocks from beach and lots of restaurants / food stalls nearby. Only complaint is the very loud AC compressor on our balcony, luckily it wasn't that hot when we were there and we just turned it off.
The sheets on the bed were dirty. I went to the desk to complain and have the sheets changed. The individual working said there was no one there who could change the sheets, but she could give me sheets to change them myself. Reluctantly, I took the sheets to my room and began to change the bedding. The sheets I was given were for a queen bed, but the bed in my room is a king bed. I took the sheets back down, indicating such. I was given another set of sheets and brought those to the room only to find out they also were for a queen bed. I made another trip down to the desk with those sheets to try to get sheets for a king bed. She was able to find a fitted sheet for a king, but it had stains on it. She then went to look somewhere else for another set of sheets. We ended up with a king fitted sheet two queen top sheets, and a queen blanket. So the bedding was never right. I have never had to make up my own bed at a hotel. I feel this situation was totally unacceptable.
I was there for three nights before cruising home to Vancouver. This hotel isn’t fancy, but serves the need for a short stay and is adequate.
Some updating/refreshing to be more modern would be nice to see.

Location
Main lift was broken and we had to carry luggage through back corridors to alternate lift to get to our floor. Noise levels outside our room was no conducive to a good nights sleep.
The location is excellent! Is only two blocks away or less than that from Waikiki beach, also across the street was a bunch of food trucks and restaurant and convenience store, coffee shop etc.
Location is very good. Room is comfortable and clean with kitchen. The staff are kind and nice. I want to stay again soon!

Their wifi quality was quite poor, the tv channels didn’t work with the tv remote, and when I arrived to my room on my check in day, the door was not secure! It was not locked properly by housekeeping staff! As a result, I didn’t request any housekeeping (they’ve reduced their housekeeping for every fifth day), for fear my door wouldn’t be secured properly had housekeeping cleaned my room.
