Great location. Staff are lovely and room was very nice.
Nice old property with lots of history
Nothing
The proximity to beach was great, the indoor pool all to ourselves was wonderful, staff were very helpful, lovely beach view from the landscaped gardens where you can sit with a drink & relax,
The room was light & roomy & the bed very comfortable.
We also requested an extension to our leaving time by an hour to 11am when enquired at reception, which due to a medical condition made the vacating of the room stress free, (note to myself that I would enquire in advance directly with the hotel when booking next time ) we would certainly return.
I personally did not like my salmon & scrambled egg on toast served in a bowl as this required my arthritic hands to manipulate cutting the toast in an uncomfortable position, but I will request a plate if I ordered this again.
The Hotel itself was cosy and unique and very comforting. We had great service at breakfast and the food was really nice.
Found a few hairs in the shower that's the only fault.
Quaint, incredibly comfortable, free parking, good sized breakfast and nice welcome from reception staff
Not much to dislike but felt the waiting staff in the restaurant could be a wee bit more friendly. To encourage guests to use the restaurant in the evening you have to make them feel valued and welcomed.
Ive never heard of a hotel where you need to book a meal for that night, just after breakfast. What happened to spontaneity??
Also, with my husbands mobility I was surprised we were in a room furthest from reception
Brilliant! Loved it!
Everything
I just wanted a single room, which was adequate in all respects - other than a bit noisy.
It was noisy. The lift in the adjoining lift shaft was creaky and quite loud, but worst was the extractor fan (from a room below) immediately outside the window - although it did not run during the night, thankfully.
Breakfast very good. Location very convenient for promenade.
Our room had 3 steps up to the en-suite which seemed a bit awkward, especially for more elderly people.
The bed was so uncomfortable and the room was so small with no real surfaces for makeup etc . The bathroom was the same , I had to put toiletries on the toilet top
Historical building in a convenient part of town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good. There is a swimming pool and h
Gym and sufficient car parking.
The duvet was rather hard , not soft and comfy,
Location was excellent. Staff were all lovely. Breakfast was nice and plentiful.
Even for a beautiful old building the room looked a bit tired. Broken tiles in the bathroom.
Location - easy walk to beach and town
Pleasant lounge and garden
TINY BATHROOM!
Main course special on 18th August - Barnsley chop UNDERCOOKED
The property is nice and close to the seafront and very clean
