The location
The Beach area was limited as not all the area belongs to hotel. Therefore food was not served on the beach. In addition the AC was not working in the inside bar and the shower in the room did not work properly due to calcium build up.
Our stay was overall great, and anything lower than an 8 would not feel fair.
The water is absolutely pristine, the beaches are immaculate, and we really loved how quiet, peaceful, and exclusive the property felt.
We also truly appreciated the care and attention from the entertainment staff, the S café baristas, and the team working at the beach. Their friendliness and service made our stay very enjoyable.
That said, the reason we are not giving a higher rating comes down to a few disappointments.
We would still recommend the property and would happily return, but we hope that in the future, special occasions and guest requests receive a little more attention.
We mentioned several times that we were celebrating our anniversary during this trip, but unfortunately, that information seemed to be completely disregarded.
We then specifically asked the concierge if they could at least add a note to our dinner reservation on our last night, but unfortunately nothing was done on that occasion either.
This was particularly disappointing because we noticed that guests celebrating birthdays and other special occasions were being acknowledged by the staff. We were not expecting anything extravagant, but even a small acknowledgment would have meant a lot to us.
We also asked whether it might be possible to move to a more central room. We were left waiting for over 20 minutes, only to eventually be told that there was no availability. We found this disappointing as well, especially since we were staying for five nights. Even if nothing was available on the first night, we would have appreciated being considered for a room change later during our stay if something became available.
Overall, it was a little bittersweet.
The natural beauty, tranquility, pristine water, immaculate beaches, and wonderful staff in many areas made this a lovely stay.
However, the lack of attention to our anniversary and the handling of our room request took away from what could otherwise have been an exceptional experience.
The staff was absolutely fantastic!!! The food in the reserved restaurants was excellent. The food in general was very very good. The room was nice and it was great that it was a two minute walk to the beach. Plus, they had lounge chairs and umbrellas along w/service. Excellent!
The details in the room could have been better. The door didn't latch well and the toilet would run occasionally. The check-in could also have been better w/the room being ready since we arrived after 3pm.

The main swimming pool really wasn’t clean. Everything outside was v v clean but when I swam multiple times a day (v hot!) - it always had hair, dead bugs and grime. Always felt I had to shower after going in the pool. Minor annoyance, otherwise great hotel and experience.
Excelente ubicación! Acá conoces la cultura de Jamaica sin tener que salir del hotel. El personal es un 10, la gastronomía local, internacional y la coctelería de primer nivel. Bandas de reggae tocando en vivo todas las noches. Ubicado en la playa de Doctor’s cave beach, y sobre la calle donde están todas las tiendas de recuerdos. Cuenta con una playa privada y con vigilancia, asique solo toca venir a relajarse. Más que recomendado!
Central entrance lobby was beautifully conceived. Really well proportioned room and fantastically spacious bathroom area. The view over the pool. Seating around the pool. Excellent food in the Marketplace restaurant and the Rocksteady seafood restaurant. We also visited the spa and the gym - lovely. Quick and easy to get to from the airport after a long flight. Friendly and welcoming staff.
