Excellent hotel in a great location and friendly staff.
Pros:

Location was great because it overlooked the bay and was close to the airport and seaport village. Also, was close to a decent Laundromat on. Midway Bld. Since the hotel didn't have a washer and dryer available to it customers to use the Laundromat was a great option and probably cost less than it there was one at the hotel.

Cons:

There was no complimentary breakfast included. Since the hotel was attached to a restaurant/bar it made it's customers pay for meals at the restaurant. It would have been more convenient if the hotel offered a laundry room for its customers to use for laundry services.

Great hotel , just one small issue
Pros:

Loved the location & convenience to the airport.

Cons:

The AC in the room was extremely loud. It kept shutting off & on throughout the night. We would have to shut it off completely each night because it kept waking us all up.

We’ll be back!
Pros:

I’ve stayed on Shelter Island but first time at this hotel. It feels like a boutique hotel. All the staff greet you. The bell persons are friendly and the front desk staff are always available. The lobby is small and clean. Parking is self-park with lots on either side. Their checkout is Noon so arriving early is a challenge and Will did his best to get us into an available room. They can store your bags until yr room is ready. I loved the fact it was a quiet area and felt safe to take our dog out even at night. You’ll have to drive or take a uber/lyft to get to other areas of SD. They do have a shuttle to the airport. We visit SD often and will return to this hotel.

Not really pet friendly
Pros:

Good location, comfortable beds.

Cons:

For a pet friendly hotel I would expect to be able to leave the dogs in the room for 2-3hours to be able to actually go to eat etc.
