It’s ok
No jacuzzi - pool wasn’t working
They do not care about their customer and ignore their messages and requests
Nothing
Staff is rude and slip by the extra fees to the bill. Door and keys need to be updated and functional
The Delta hotel is made up of 2 distinct parts - a tower and a surrounding 1-star motel-like 2 storey elevator-less lodging. At booking, the reviews appear mixed, however, it isnt clear why there is such a big "delta" in reviews. My colleague and I booked using the same tool. Due to their status, they got upgraded to the 7th floor suite in the tower, while I got a dingy dark smelly 2nd floor motel room, with no elevators. I carried my luggage up the stairs. The rooms are very small, and smelly. There were no glass cups, only paper cups. The room is extremely small, no source of light, except for the window near the door, which lets every person walking by peek into your room. There was a Uhaul store outside the window.
Upon seeing the state of the room, I asked them to move it. They pretended they would try, however, upon waiting for almost 20-30 mins, they tried to sell me an upgrade, and then said, if i didnt like it, I could go to a different hotel.
My same colleague due to their status, got access to the pantry, while I did not.
The booking portal says "includes breakfast", however, they instead give you a $20 off voucher, and a silly $2 drink (canned soda) costs $8 there. Coffee costs about $6, so I ended up paying a portion for the breakfast. At breakfast, they werent attentive. They didnt serve water, and forgot half my order. The next day, I ordered the same thing, and got a different breakfast. It seemed they made up a reason why the items and count were different.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I wouldnt have expected this kind of experience at a Marriot.
I stayed here for 2 nights while on business in the area. The location is fantastic as its an easy drive to Santa Clara Convention center and not far from San Jose and SJC. Check in was quick as I was given room 4005, a suite with a King bed. The room was spacious, and it was nice to be able to stretch out. My only complaint was that the lighting was not very good. Even with all the lights on, it was still dark inside.
The gym, while not large, has ample cardio equipment and free weights. Further, they offer simple yet filling breakfast options. As a result, Delta is a nice option in Silicon Valley, and I would definitely return.
