The receptionist was very rude and not helpful. We kindly asked to change rooms because the room next to ours had a non-stop barking dog. The receptionist told us there were no rooms available, not at all. But there were plenty of rooms available, he just did not want to help us out. Very unkind and lying staff.
The king size bed was amazing
How the WiFi sucked my show kept buffering
As a long-time Hilton Honors member (Diamond level) I've stayed at all levels of their properties, including recently a few Spark properties. Simply put, you get what you pay for, so pay a few dollars extra for a Hampton Inn or Tru (very family focused). This Spark property in Colorado Springs does not in any way live up to the standards of the Hilton brands that I've experienced over the past 20+ years, and for me to take the time to write a negative review it must be abhorrent. Hallway floors were atrociously dirty and marred, Pergo flooring in entrances and elevators was cracked, we didn't need a night light as the door fit so poorly that light (and noise) from the hallway easily invaded, air conditioner was very loud, breakfast was incredibly limited... the only protein was shelled hard-boiled eggs, water pressure was marginal. Thankfully we travel with our own pillows! This property is ideal... if you prefer a Super 8 or Motel 6. :-(
Location
Ice machines on every floor was empty.. also accidentally left new 100$ bottle of perfume in room and housekeeping supposedly didn’t find it.. which I don’t believe..
The room was clean and nice. The AC worked great! The pool was indoors and slightly heated. Although the bathroom door would not shut very right and the breakfast is subpar.
The room was cool and comfortable.
The hallway was filthy. Breakfast was terrible, ice machine not working.
Aside from being dirty. Management lies to guests and Hilton Brand. After complaining to Hilton that I didn't believe the hotel met the Hilton standard, I was told I would hear back from the hotel in 3 days. After not hearing anything for a month I call Hilton and was told the response from the hotel was that I never stayed there and I was never charged. After a couple hours on the phone I was able to get a folio showing a refund that I expect to arrive soon.
The pool wasn’t open
We've stayed here about 4 times, it's comfortable and clean, staff us always nice. Breakfast is good and enough to chose from.
Sides and drinks or snacks are overpriced. I had a tea and 1 soda antbit was $8.00. But overall it's a good place to stay
