Blue ridge parkway
Pros:

Nice location, easy to be reached and found. Perfect starting point for the blue ridge parkway. Good breakfast, nice rooms.

Affordable, clean property with ample breakfast options and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Pros:

The hotel offers an excellent breakfast with lots of options (warm and cold). My room was upgraded to a suite for free and was very clean and spacious. The hotel is located very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway which was convenient for sightseeing.

Cons:

The hotel is located about 25 minutes from the airport with lots of traffic. The location is also not in the greatest area if you plan on walking as there were several homeless and drug addicts hanging out in the general area.

Breakfast AND hot tub out of order… condescending, vapid staff
Pros:

Stayed here at the Ashville La Quinta last night. I’m an AT hiker and got to the hotel late last night after a long day hiking.

I slept in and woke this morning at 9:10 and washed and headed to what was described as a great complimentary breakfast. It was the REASON I chose the hotel to be sure.

The breakfast was closed. At 9 AM!! I couldn’t believe it. The concierge gave me no information when I got in and my CHOICE to stay here based on breakfast and a hot tub soak (as well as reliably clean rooms so one out of three) was absolutely decimated by the staff here as the HOT TUB was also out of order.

When I asked for assistance first with the concierge this morning and then James, the manager, it was explained to me, as if I was a child, that the hot tub and breakfast are FREE amenities and they wouldn’t offer restitution. He explained this as a half dozen hotel patrons lined up ALSO disappointed that they would not be getting breakfast. It was comical.

I CHOSE, as a consumer, this establishment for the three aforementioned reasons. James condescendingly explaining that they were free amenities is the worst part about the experience to be honest. I informed him it was a sorry philosophy he should adjust.

James, you as a consumer yourself should know better. This SUCKED. Hungry hiker with soar muscles. Guess I’ll go spend more money at WAFFLEHOUSE now.

We are definitely returning on our next vacation!
Pros:

Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Indoor pool was a plus. Staff very pleasant and professional! Both rooms were clean and luxurious. We felt very safe and comfortable.

Cons:

Jacuzzi was not available but that was a minor inconvenience.
