New owner was amazing. She is doing a good job at trying to fix the facility and hire people to work. While trying to make upgrades.the building and rooms need some work but the people and cleanliness of this location was worth staying. I would do it again if ever in the area.

This hotel is a total disaster. I checked in online and when I opened the door the room had not been cleaned, beds made up, and the bath was just filthy. I went to the front desk and the rudest front desk personnel told me that checkin time was 3pm. I notified her that I was coming to the room I had for this am (missed my connection to memphis) and would like to see a manager. The manager said he would not charge me yet I received a charge for the room..The hotel has been sold, and new management is clueless. Plenty of places to stay in Memphis other than this dirty decrepit hotel .
It is clean, well staffed, and has a really nice breakfast.
Its a bit noisy when there are a lot of guests.

Absolutely horrific customer service. I was unfortunately escaping a domestic violence situation and looking for a place to stay and was met with a horrible attitude. I was even told “find somewhere else” and when I mentioned I would be leaving a review I was told “I did nothing wrong lady”. Hopefully management will take my complaint seriously but if not, I will continue pushing it up the chain.
Continental breakfast was great. Location is great/safe. Close to restaurants and the freeway.
The rooms are very small for a family of 4. The elevators were very slow. The hotel was musty and smelled damp inside.

The staff at Hampton are always and unfailingly polite, pleasant, and delightful. The beds are comfortable, and they have some of the best pillows in the business.
Sadly, that's all the good I can say of this location. It BADLY needs to be updated. We stayed twice, on the outgoing and return legs of a trip. If we hadn't prebooked, we'd not have stayed here the second night.
Besides being just tired and worn, there are damages in the rooms that render them less functional.
Hanging pegs falling out of the wall, badly mended cracks around the faucet in the tub, phones that wouldn't convince as a stage prop because of all the missing buttons. A QR code to tip housekeeping that's not actually working.

My room was not comfortable. Lights didn't work in the second room. Asked for handicapped room and accommodations were not conveyed that the room wouldn't have two queen beds. Moved to a King room but not handicapped accessible and the TV did not work. Moved back to handicapped room with one bed and no cots available.
Original booking wasn't ready but we were able to get another room that was ready, no problem!
