Pros:

Normal

Cons:

Very poorly organized. I arrived from a trip with my daughter and the place wasn't ready. I had already sent a message informing them that I would arrive early. My 1-year-old daughter was very stressed and I needed to use the bathroom. They took me to the spa's bathroom. Surreal. After a 10-hour trip, to go through this situation.

One of the Most Disappointing Luxury Hotel Experiences I've Ever Had
Pros:

Please note: this review is solely about the HOTEL BAR and not accommodations.

I never imagined I would be writing a review like this because the bar at Hotel Regina had been one of my favorite places in Paris. I had visited several times over the years, and the staff even recognized me and welcomed me back. Unfortunately, what happened on this visit was so appalling that I will never return.
I ordered a €25 glass of champagne, which was served in a coupe glass alongside small dishes of cashews and olives. Within minutes I noticed flies swarming around the food. Then the unthinkable happened: one of the flies landed on the rim of my champagne glass and fell directly into my drink.
I immediately called the waiter over. He apologized, removed the glass, and brought me another. Hoping that would solve the problem, I covered the dishes of nuts and olives with a napkin because the flies were clearly attracted to them.
It only got worse.
Almost immediately, more insects began gathering on top of the napkin. Then I watched another insect crawl around the rim of my replacement champagne glass. At that point I was completely disgusted and had lost all confidence in the cleanliness of the establishment. There was no way I was going to continue drinking.
I politely explained that I should not be expected to pay for champagne served in these conditions. Astonishingly, the waiter insisted that I pay anyway—even though I hadn't even consumed a full glass because insects had contaminated it.
Charging a guest for insect-infested champagne is unacceptable for any establishment. For a luxury Paris hotel, it's inexcusable.
Instead of correcting the situation immediately, they handed me the bar manager's business card and told me to complain the next day. I had the concierge at my nearby hotel call on my behalf, only to be told there would be no refund.
Only after I returned to the United States and endured weeks of emails and a frustrating back-and-forth did they finally agree to reimburse me. Even then, instead of simply refunding the credit card they had charged, they required my banking information and sent an international wire transfer—a completely unnecessary hassle for a €25 charge.
What baffles me most is that this happened during chilly weather, not the height of summer. Why were there so many flies inside a supposedly elegant hotel bar? It certainly made me question the sanitation standards behind the scenes.
Luxury hospitality isn't measured by chandeliers or expensive champagne. It's measured by how you respond when something goes wrong. Hotel Regina failed spectacularly. A manager should have apologized sincerely, comped the drink immediately, and done everything possible to restore a loyal customer's confidence.
Instead, they argued over €25.
They didn't just lose a customer—they lost someone who had happily recommended this bar for years.
My advice is simple: don't go. Paris is filled with beautiful hotel bars where guests are treated with respect and hygiene isn't an afterthought. Hotel Regina is no longer one of them.

Would not recommend
Pros:

Location is good, the doormen were wonderful but they were the exception

Cons:

Early check in not accommodated. Promised a call - didn’t get it. Charged extra for Eggs Benedict when pretty much all the ingredients were available separately.
For 5 stars and the price we expected more.

Very nice location close to the Louvres and High quality service
Pros:

June 2025. Visiting Paris for the finals at Roland Garros, we stayed at the Hotel Regina which is still showing its splendor at the corner of the Louvres. Excellent service. The room was rather small but offered all we needed and the personnel was, as it should be for this hotel category, impeccable and very professional.

Management knowingly placed me in the deficient conditions of Room 309 and have refused to remedy with financial compens
Pros:

The property was located in an ideal location if the Louvre museum is a priority.

Cons:

As a premium tier room, the Louvre Superior Room is explicitly advertised on Booking.com to include a specific set of high-end amenities. Unfortunately, the room provided to me failed to meet these advertised standards, significantly impacting the quality of my stay.
Specifically, my room lacked the following standard, promised amenities:
* No Minibar: The room did not contain the advertised minibar.
* No Closet / Inadequate Storage: There was no closet or proper clothing storage provided, forcing me to live out of my luggage. The bathroom lighting had no separate switch; I had to leave the initial lights on and close the hall door to keep safe lighted entry to the bathroom. This also prevented me from removing the entry power slot key to keep this configuration. I did not want housekeeping to ruin this configuration and declined their services.
* No Safe : I could not leave my valuables in the room during housekeeping in my absence. I deferred for service for this additional reason.

Management knowingly placed me in the deficient conditions of Room 309 and have refused to remedy with financial compensation.

Lovely historic hotel in the heart of Paris with exceptional service
Pros:

Clean and bright room in a historic building with nice bathroom, comfortable bed and linens, and truly exceptional service and staff. Perfect location to the Metro, Louvre , shopping, and dining. Although we did not experience any issues, we observed staff truly going above and beyond for another guest. We can’t wait to return

Extraordinary decoration & excellent location with good service
Pros:

All Staff (from the conciege, reception, restraurant service, cleaning team, to porters team..etc) was super professional, helpful & nice. Although the building was historic, hotel was very clean and very well renovated. Decoration was extraordinary & luxurious. Location was also excellent. We had an amazing eiffel tower view✨

Cons:

Since its a historical building, there had been some breakdowns such as our bathroom ceiling came down in the middle of the night and service came to repaire immediately. My parents had difficulty in having water from shower but they managed it after calling the service. They even brought iron and iron table to our room and let us keep it during our stay. So the service we received was great✨

Old world charm - the way a hotel should be
Pros:

I don't think we've ever had a nicer stay at any hotel than at the Hotel Regina in Paris. We were there for eight nights in May 2026. It was my first time in Paris and we were going with good friends, so we decided to live it up and stay at the Hotel Regina.

The Regina has a wonderful old-world charm with excellent but understated service. It's like stepping back in time, when hotel guests were made to feel special. The interior spaces are beautiful. The concierge desk was extremely helpful, had very good restaurant and other recommendations, and helped get reservations. They also helped us arrange for a wheelchair for a traveling companion -- without that our trip would have been much more difficult. Even the doormen were great - friendly, quick to get cabs or help in any way. We didn't notice the smallest amount of grouchiness or impatience from any of the staff. Excellent service in every way.

Our room, in the interior courtyard, was deadly quiet - we could hardly hear the city. It was extremely clean, and room service restored it every morning and turned down the blankets at night. It was great to enjoy Paris during the day, and have a little haven at night.

The breakfast buffet was very good, with assorted pastries, fresh bread, fruit, and salmon etc. The wait staff was professional and charming. Our only criticism is that the coffee wasn't strong enough -- probably because they assumed that Americans would want it that way. Best to order a café allongé, which is like an espresso. The bar also was good -- a nice place to relax before heading out for dinner.

The Regina is located about a block from the Louvre and it is across the street from the Tuileries Garden. It is a short walk across the Seine to the Musée d'Orsay impressionist collections and the Rodin Museum. It is a bit further, but still walkable, to the Notre Dame cathedral, the opera house, and the Arc de Triomphe.

We had a wonderful trip to Paris, and a lovely stay at the classy and charming Hotel Regina.

Wonderful Hotel
Pros:

We greatly appreciated our stay at Hotel Regina Louvre. The staff members were exceptional, and the room service was outstanding. The accommodations were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed viewing the Eiffel Tower from our private balcony. The proximity to the Louvre was highly convenient. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness and tranquility. Overall, our experience was thoroughly enjoyable and exceeded our expectations.
