Excellent hotel
Pros:

Opposite a lovely park and staffed by excellent helpful people. Breakfasts were lovely, I recommend the pancakes. The city was full of runners and so the atmosphere was lively.

For $450/night USD this stay should have been top notch and fell very short.
Pros:

Location was great. Hot water for a shower is very hot which was nice.

Cons:

Vallet parking was sold out, didn’t know that was a thing. Got barked at to move my vehicle when I pulled up to the front to load my own vehicle. Hot tub could be a little hotter. AC was terrible and basically didn’t work in room 227. Shower head was broke and lost a lot of pressure from it.

Super nice staff. Restaurant was good.

Cons:

Needs some updating.
Expensive parking……. Kind of ridiculous for the money you pay. Money gouging at its best.
So parked across the street at city hall. Just silly.

Gorgeous hotel in which to explore Ottawa.
Pros:

Beautiful old hotel in a great location. They stored our bags before check in. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast in the restaurant, my husband had the buffet which was about $26.00 before tax and tips. I swam in the pool which I had to myself. It is in walking distance to parliament buildings and to explore the town. I would highly recommend.

We definitely recommend Elgin to everyone, it was a memorable and fun stay for all of us.
Pros:

Best location, near most of the tourist attractions. Lots of good restaurant around the area. Comfortable bed, complete amenities,their swimming pool makes our stay more enjoyable esp for my kids. We appreciate that they allowed us to do early check in, checking out was fast and easy.

Cons:

Breakfast not included, you can hear noise from outside and bathroom doesn’t have lock.

Great Hotel!
Pros:

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at The Lord Elgin. The room was spacious and clean, the chaise lounge was super comfortable and the sparkling bathroom had great amenities.
All the staff - reception, bar, restaurant and housekeepers - were friendly and warm which added to our experience. We would be sure to stay at The Lord Elgin again when we next visit Ottawa.

Excellent!
Pros:

The location was perfect. Walking distance to uOttawa and the Biward Market. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Happy hour was delish! Valet parking was chefs kiss.
Restaurant Forty-One was excellent. Main and drinks were reasonably priced, delicious and atmosphere and service was impeccable. Loved my stay. I will be back.
