A great hotel for a visit to downtown Ottawa.
Pros:

The Lord Elgin is the perfect hotel to use as home base while visiting Ottawa. The room was clean and well stocked with towels. It was easy to access our car for a day in Gatineau Park. I would recommend paying the extra for a park view room. We had a view of the HVAC system, lol! But for a landmark hotel in the heart of the city during peak season it was very good value. It was so fun to see the guards marching right by the hotel each morning on their way to Parliament Hill.

Pros:

Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Executive-Zimmer bekommen. Das war sehr geräumig. Alle waren sehr nett.

Cons:

Das Zimmer wurde mit Parkblick angeboten, leider stand dort nicht, dass in der Mitte noch eine Kreuzung lag, die viel befahren war.
Leider konnte man Frühstück nur à la Carte bestellen.
Ein inklusives Frühstück wird nicht angeboten.

Great stay!
Pros:

We thoroughly enjoyed an overnight stay at the Lord Elgin while attending Bluesfest in Ottawa. Room was spacious, staff was very friendly and the downtown location was great for walking to many of Ottawa’s historic sites.

The hotel staff are always great. The location is fantastic.

Elevated but Very Basic
Pros:

The 11th floor suite was not remotely worth the cost. Everything a basic suite at a less expensive would have, and nothing more. Scaffolding covered the limited view, the kitchen had 17 wine glasses, 2 plates, one sharp knife and no bottle opener. No sense of extra effort, considering the extra cost.

Very comportable room, well located and helpful staff.
Pros:

From the moment I entered the property I was welcomed. The room was very comfortable and I slept very well on the bed. The hotel is extremely well located. Also I took advantage of the happy hour sessions on each of my nights. I would recommend the hotel to other people looking to stay in Ottawa.

Super Lage und sehr freundliches Personal! Schöne, große Zimmer in einem älteren, atmosphärischen Hotel.

Nicht genug Regenschirme bei schlechtem Wetter…
