**3 Nights, 2 Rooms, 2 Broken Toilets — Very Disappointing Stay**

I stayed at Hotel Fera Anaheim, a DoubleTree by Hilton, for 3 nights from **August 22–25, 2026**, and unfortunately all 3 nights were affected by problems.
On Day 2, I returned late to find that my room had not been serviced. I was later told that housekeeping is only provided upon request and that I should have been given a card explaining this at check-in. I was not given the card and was never informed of the policy.
More seriously, I came back to a **backed-up toilet that would not flush**. An engineer came to my room at approximately 12:30 a.m. and, after checking it, told me it could not be fixed that night because it was too late to use the snake.
I requested a room change the following day.
Incredibly, the toilet in the second room also would not flush properly. So during one 3-night hotel stay, I encountered toilet problems in TWO separate rooms. There were other maintenance issues as well, including flickering bedside lights.
I paid over $500 for this stay. At this price point, having a functioning toilet is surely one of the most basic expectations of a hotel room.
To be fair, the front desk manager waived my three days of parking as a service-recovery gesture, which I appreciated. However, considering the severity and repeated nature of the problems, I do not believe waiving parking adequately compensated for the experience.
I was also troubled to overhear a comment that “many things are not working in the hotel.” Unfortunately, based on my experience, that certainly felt true.
Hotels occasionally have maintenance problems. What made this particularly disappointing was that changing rooms did not solve the problem.
I spent three nights in Los Angeles, and all three nights at this hotel were negatively affected. For a Hilton-affiliated property competing in the Anaheim tourism market, I expected considerably better maintenance, communication and service recovery.

Sehr schönes Hotel zu einem stolzen Preis
Pros:

Es ist ein wirklich schönes Hotel. Es ist groß, sehr sauber und das Personal ist sehr freundlich.
Es liegt nicht all zu weit vom Disneyland entfernt (ca 10 Minuten)
Das Zimmer selbst war für 2 Erwachsene und 1 Kind groß genug (wir hatten ein Zimmer mit zwei Betten)
Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr lecker.

Cons:

Beim Frühstück hat man 22 Dollar pro Person frei. Wenn man etwas auswählt, das mehr kostet muss man den Aufpreis bezahlen.
Das ist zwar kein Problem, ich hätte es nur gerne schon beim buchen gewusst.
