The staff only
The hotel was very rundown, and dirty. 9th floor rooms were so hot. We could not stay on that floor. Moved to the 8th floor where it was cooler though still needed a box fan. Both rooms were very dusty. Mini fridges in both rooms does not even keep water cold.
Also found sex toys and parts of needles in the pool area. Reported the findings to hotel staff.
Only one elevator worked. Staff say the other elevator has not worked in a long time. I even multiple times told staff the hotel was rundown.
Had a big storm while we were there and they had to close the night time restaurant as the roof leaked and dumped a lot of water in the center of the dining area.
Only Kerry one of the bartenders knew how to make drinks or know their stock.
Lastly they were short on food off the menu more than once told something did not come on the delivery truck. Both breakfast and dinner

Helpfulness of the staff
Nothing to complain about.
- About a 5 minute drive to the airport-without disturbance of plane noise.
- A welcome cookie 😁
- Availabilty of an in house restaurant with a good menu.
The swimming pool water didn’t look fresh and had leaves and some twigs in it.
It could do with better maintenance.

Great overnight stop when transiting through Houston. Three weary travellers enjoyed a basic dinner at the hotel restaurant and the return airport shuttle was super convenient. Our shuttle driver, Jimmy Johnson, was a legend and enhanced our experience which included great service from the whole hotel and restaurant team.
