The staff were helpful.
For the price point of Dusit D2 Davao, I expected a clean and well-maintained room. Unfortunately, the housekeeping and sanitation were far below acceptable standards.
The room floor was dirty from the moment we arrived — it clearly hadn’t been vacuumed — and even after requesting housekeeping, the floor remained just as dirty. The tables weren’t wiped, drink marks were still there, and on our first day I even found a pubic hair on the carpet. The bathroom also wasn’t properly cleaned; there were visible mold spots and the space didn’t feel sanitized at all.
When housekeeping finally came, all they did was change the sheets. They didn’t wipe any surfaces, didn’t clean the chairs or tables, and didn’t replace the towels. When we returned to the room, we had no towels, and even the toilet paper wasn’t replenished.
For a hotel charging this much, the lack of basic cleanliness and proper housekeeping is unacceptable.
Staff was friendly and attentive. The room assigned to us was as request in a quiet area. The location was also convenient for us since we had an early morning flight on our departure day and took us only 15 mins. to get to the airport
The interior and tables, in the Madayaw Cafe has seen better days. We sat by the glass widows beside the pool, and due to condensation from the aircon vents, water was dripping on us and the tables. The tables are also unstable and wobbly, despite the staff putting something underneath to stop it from wobbling. Both for dinner and breakfast we had to relocate our positions. At least 3-4 tables that we checked were wobbly.
The location was great. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast buffet was impressive. Staff are all polite and nice.
The hair dryer doesn't work. Smart tv was not mirroring. Some of the power socket are not working too.

We had a great stay last March with my friends. Perfect place to celebrate any occasions. The staffs are very hospitable, they will really exceed your expectations.
We love this hotel. Wonderful staff in all the restaurants and lobby bar. Each morning, Shannen greeted us warmly for breakfast and wonderful customer service by her. The pool is lovely, cooling swim. We had a day at Paradise Beach resort on Samal island, the ferry is a short (less than 100 peso) taxi ride to ferry. The food and service in Dusit's Thai restaurant is outstanding. DusitD2 is now our go to hotel in Davao and one we recommend to friends
Kids had fun at the pool! Kids ordered hot choco drink like 4 times i think lol they really liked it. They liked the popcorn and dark chocolate cookies. We were so happy to know that you have a now a chinese menu! We had the lemon chicken with almond crust, butter prawn, beef (forgot the name but it had asparagus), bokchot with mushroom, and the best spareribs!! The fried rice was great with chunky shrimps! Although the restaurant set up was a little confusing lol we thought there was an exclusive event or something, we didn't cross that line during breakfast. Then upon asking when exiting the resto, turns out that was the chinese dining area (that's why we ordered afterwards lol). Regrettably, that section had the main courses for breakfast. You have to put some signages what offers this section of the buffet has. You need to have a staff dedicated to interact with your customers. Small chatter can open up a wide conversation like knowing a lot of your clients do not know where your other food set up is. When chatting at the elevator, a couple & a family joined our convo that they too did not know and knew from us what that section was haha! Seems like we have a reason to come back lol. To add, while waiting for my cappucino from your machine, i asked your bar guy for some sugar packets. He just answered that it's on our table already. I said we are seated outside to look after our kids while swimming and there were no sugar or creamer on our table. So he reluctantly went to the table just behind me and snatched a bunch of sugar & creamer hahaha i could have done that, i don't want to make him mad :))

Pigeons all over the pool area and room balconies. Breakfast buffet has fewer choices of food.
