Small Luxury Hotel Ambassador Zurich

The hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Very nice bedrooms and bathrooms and common parts and a great location. The in-house restaurant and bar is also really nice, particularly when it’s sunny and you can sit outside. Excellent staff both front and back of house.

The best hotel bed I’ve slept in!!! The pillows and duvet are so soft and fluffy and don’t feel cold on the skin as many other hotels’ beddings do. Personally I don’t like living too close to the HB, makes the whole trip feel too much like a rushed transit, so this location is perfect. The building is also just so gorgeous. The blue color scheme in the bathroom and bedroom make it feel really cozy and cute. Would definitely recommend!!

Lots of communication prior to arrival including a suggestion for hotel pick up . Then a ridiculous charge for the hotel pickup of over 100 USD for less than 10 mile trip. Ok we can let this one slide since the driver realized the early arrival without an early check-in approval by the hotel staff and gave us a lovely tour of the city. So then imagine making guests sit in tiny chairs in an even tinier and narrow hallway for hours before we were given a room. The hotel was not sold out. The room was not occupied previously but we were made to wait. This is not hospitality. Why not offer us the room for check-in at a discount or full rate? I bet The Dolder Grand would not treat a guest in this manner. Horrible experience. Breakfast was the best and the lead female server is tops! Great Italian restaurant across the street.

Excellent location to explore the city. 1 block from train station. Staff is super helpful. Best continental breakfast I have ever had. Rooms are sleek and modern, and the AC works great. No street noise at night and rooms are quite in the morning their breakfast patio is a great location to watch people and get a vibe of the city. This is the place to stay.

We spent three nights in the hotel.
The Junior Suite was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with what we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a good supply of toiletries and fresh towels provided in the bathroom. Additionally, the minibar was stocked with a selection of refreshments.
Breakfast was included in our stay, and offered plenty of variety.
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful.
Overall, we had a great experience.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Ambassador and enjoyed our stay. Our room was very comfortable and the staff at the front desk were all very friendly and helpful. The location is great for both seeing the Zurich sights and/or taking a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. There are a lot of excellent restaurants nearby as well. Our two nights were also very reasonably priced relative to other options nearby. As it seems to be a frequent question, we did not have any problems with parking. There is an area in front of the hotel to park while unloading luggage and then the entrance to the Opera House underground parking lot is just across the street, can't miss it.

Helpful staff, great location, comfortable stay. Amazing diamond complimentary breakfast.
