Overall, my stay was not very pleasant.
Pros:

立地が良く、観光にも買い物にもアクセスしやすくて便利でした。

The location was quite good and convenient for getting around.

Cons:

チェックイン時に、室内の備品が破損した場合はクレジットカードから直接請求されるという説明があり、自分でホテルのタブレットにクレジットカード情報を入力する必要がありました。この手続きには少し不安を感じましたので、改善されるとより安心して宿泊できると思います。

これまでたくさんの日本のホテルに宿泊してきましたが、このような手続きは初めてでした。また、外国人の宿泊客に対して偏見があるようにも感じました。

また、部屋のテレビは今まで泊まったホテルの中で一番小さかったです。Apple TVは設置されていましたが、その分でもう少し大きなテレビを導入したほうが良いと思いました。テレビのサイズは、私のパソコンのモニターよりも小さいくらいでした。

唯一良かったと言えるのは、レストランの雰囲気がきれいだったことです。

During check-in, guests are informed that any damage to items in the room may result in direct charges to their credit card, and they are required to enter their credit card information on a tablet themselves. This process felt a bit uncomfortable, so I think improving it would help guests feel more secure during their stay. I have stayed at many hotels in Japan before, but I have never experienced a process like this. I also felt that there may be some bias toward foreign guests.

Also, the TV in the room was the smallest one I have ever seen in a hotel. Although they provided an Apple TV, I think it would be better to spend that money on a larger television instead. The TV was even smaller than my computer monitor at home.

The only thing I can really compliment is that the restaurant was quite pretty and nicely designed.

小樽の観光名所、お店通りが近く、徒歩圏内で見所がたくさんあります。
　ホテル自体も落ち着いた雰囲気で良かったです。

Cons:

部屋バスはあるのですが、疲れを癒やすには温泉大浴場が一番です

Beautiful historic building that is renovated while keeping architectural details like stained glass and high ceilings. Excellent service from all staff. The breakfast was also lovely and they had perks like free wine hour in the evening.

Cons:

Rooms are slightly small, but it wasn’t a problem. Has everything you need.

クセになる心地の良い宿
Pros:

今回4度目の宿泊。ワインのフリードリンクサービスがあり、BARに伺いました。そこでは宿泊客同士のコミュニケーションがあり思い出に残る良い時間となりました。

Cons:

夜中(2:30頃)にトイレからカラカラとトイレットペーパーを使用する様な音がして目が覚め、しばらく眠れませんでした(考え過ぎかと思いますが怖かったです)

la struttura è molto accogliente ed elegante. le camere sono confortevoli e calde (fuori c'era ancora la neve) c'è un parcheggio a pagamento al costo di 1500 ¥. a due passi dalla Sakaimachi Street e di fronte ad un 7eleven con ATM.

Cons:

forse un po' datata come struttura ma se proprio si volesse cercare il pelo nell'uovo. per il resto tutto è stato apprezzato e molto confortevole. consigliato.

洗面所以外は良かったです。
Pros:

部屋の温度調節もよく、静かでした。

Cons:

入室して避難経路を確認したが、普通のホテルにある掲示が見当たらなかった。少し不安だった。シャワーの使い方、特に温度調整難しかった。シャワージェルの泡がなかなか消えなかった。排水が悪かった？換気扇が回っていたか不明。カーテンが重い、開けれない仕様？

Unique, luxurious stay in central Otaru

Small but luxurious Art Deco-style hotel is perfectly situated in central Otaru, offering easy walking access to the city’s major sights. My room was comfortable and quiet, despite the compact "double" size. I especially liked the hotel bar, which offers a selection of local wines and well-crafted cocktails. Additionally, the unique breakfast service - presented in an elegant "Afternoon Tea" style - was both delicious and a highlight of the experience, making this a property I would visit again.

Cons:

The journey to the hotel can be quite challenging depending on the season and your luggage. The walk from Otaru Station can be a significant struggle during winter due to accumulated snow. Furthermore, those of us accustomed to European standards for a "double" room may find them smaller than expected.
