Valet needs better oversight, bathrooms are need of deep cleaning and updating

Very good location

Cons:

Valet parking “lost” our car and we were late for dinner because of this. The valet staff did not seem to care and it took an inordinate amount of to retrieve the car. The walls and ceiling of the bathroom were filthy and covered with black mold

Great historical hotel that keeps to the original feel.
Pros:

We loved the 20s decor and the lively lounge and lobby area. We were there for a convention. The food provided that was wonderful as well as the friendly staff!

Old, beautiful, friendly staff
Pros:

Lovely historic hotel with upgrades

Cons:

Room temperature was uncomfortable initially. Apparently the system can either do chill or heat but cannot be easily transitioned. The weather changed from very warm to cold during our stay. Staff had to enter the room to change an otherwise inaccessible valve in the plumbing. Apparently that has to be done room by room!

Overall though it was a relatively minor inconvenience.

It does the job. Hotel should better communicate about that security deposit.
Pros:

Historic hotel, comfortable bedding, great location close to inner harbor

Cons:

They take a $100 per day security deposit. I was informed of that at the check in counter. This can be unsettling for an international traveler who does not carry a credit card.

Renovated historic hotel
Pros:

This nicely renovated historic hotel boasts a stunning lobby, friendly lobby bar and bistro breakfast dining. Our king room was on the smaller side (it is a historic hotel) but had everything we needed, although it was a little warm. Excellent staff. Half mile walk to the Inner Harbor or Camden Yards.
