Cute hotel in a nice location - close to restaurants and shops
Pros:

The staff at the front desk was very friendly. I personally didn't have breakfast but my sister said it was quite good. Very close to Georgetown neighborhood (10 min walk), and a 10 min car ride to the National Mall.

Cons:

The bathroom in our room was quite small. We also had an issue where our keys would not work, but they sent engineering out quickly to fix it. Other than that it was an enjoyable stay!

Chilling at Melrose Georgetown
Pros:

As Marriott titanium guest, we were extremely skeptical staying at Melrose. However, the staff at this hotel is really amazing. I want to specifically call out 2 staff members who really made this stay memorable for us - Chanee and Z. Arriving nearly at midnight, Chanee did an amazing job in providing us a very comfortable 1 bed suite. Next day at the bar, Z made some amazing cocktails for us. Truly felt home away from home.

I was extremely disappointed with the Melrose Hotel in D.C. They wanted to charge me a $50 early check-in fee when I arrived a couple hours early, but I refused because, in my experience, if a room is ready, hotels usually accommodate without extra fees. The front desk staff was unwelcoming, with no greeting and a visibly irritated attitude when I asked questions. The rooms were not clean. There were stains on the carpet, and in one of the rooms there was a dirty condom on the side of the bed. The hotel is very dated, with peeling wallpaper and poor upkeep. I would not stay here again.

Chi and I
Pros:

As i was checking in, Chi assisted me. She had a welcoming firm warm energy that immediately made me feel less anxious about my long trip. As i figured things out she walked me through the process as a non pre paid hotel and alleviated all my issues. This coupled with the wonderful smell of the lobby, friendly atmosphere and location will be why iI will 100% be coming back!!

Pros:

Lovely hotel at the edge of Georgetown. Short walk to the lovely district.
Staff lovely and chatty and made this weary traveller welcome. Especially Chanee !
