Omni La Mansion del Rio

It was super clean and every staff person was extremely helpful .

The staff were Texas Friendly and strove to meet every request! Our 2nd floor room overlooked n the courtyard / pool area, and we spent a good deal of time relaxing there. The courtyard was attended to all hours the pool was open. Housekeeping regularly refreshed the towels on the loungers and serviced any food or drink once they were finished. The location was excellent and we could spill out onto the Riverwalk to enjoy the festivities, coming and going from our room to cool off and freshen up.

The location is perfect; so close to everything on the riverwalk. We were there over the 4th of July and the atmosphere was very festive with free snacks & drinks set out. We enjoyed the mariachi band by the pool. Our room was clean & comfortable. All the staff was very friendly.

The room was very nice and spacious. We had a view of the courtyard and then what they said was a view of the riverwalk was actually a street view looking at access to the riverwalk. The room was very noisy at night. The bed and bedding were amazingly comfortable! The bathroom was big and spacious. The hallways leading to the rooms were very musty and humid, as the doors to the outside were left open. Elevators were soooo slow! I would recommend parking in parking garage across the street much cheaper! We ate at 4 Brothers for breakfast and that was great! We used the pool once but it is very small and was very crowded and not enough seating for everyone. We loved that it was easy access and walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Overall very pleasant stay and I would recommend to family and friends.

For our 40th anniversary I decided to go someplace we have never been. We landed in San Antonio Texas. After much research I choose the Omni La Mansion Del Rio and requested a private balcony room facing the Riverwalk. Our room was on the first floor and we were able to sit outside (it was HOT) and watch the world go by. Our room was on the first floor so we really had a up-close experience with all the people going by. A tad unnerving very early or late at night with people only a few feet away from you even though the walk was below us it was close. So request a room on a upper floor if this would make you nervous. I only say this because early in the morning the vagrants (we did not have one single issue) are all walking by looking for items left behind over night. Late at night it is groups walking from the bars etc.
The hotel is beautiful our room was warm and very comfortable and quite spacious. The hotel is spotless and extremely clean. Upon check in we were told about the bar adjacent to the front desk and explained that the bar becomes a coffee shop in the morning. I wish we skipped that bar and had gone to the actual hotel restaurant bar. We only discovered Four Brothers our last evening and had breakfast before check out. I think we would have enjoyed sitting on the restaurant terrace for either dinner or cocktails if we had looked before. Our fault for not searching it out. The breakfast on the terrace was perfect the service was excellent and the food delicious. The pop-up coffee bar was a let down (coming from NY with coffee shops on every corner) as was the bar which had more locals then guests. The bar at four brothers was a true hotel bar classy and professional. If you are a Omni Select member go to Four Brothers and skip the hospitality bar near the lobby.
The pool looks just like it does on the website but its small and it was very hot during our stay. Not much going on by the pool but there is a small service bar and tables if you wanted a bite to eat but with the Riverwalk so close and with so many other options I am not sure we would have eaten there.
We overall enjoyed our stay at the Omni and once you get your bearings of the area you really are in the heart of it all. Everything is accessible from the Omni and we were able to Uber at night and walk around downtown during the day right from the hotel. The staff is professional and friendly. We did not find the room the be especially loud even with being right on top of the Riverwalk. You do hear the outside noise but again its not excessive.
If you fall in love with one of the robes in the hotels closet don't follow the instructions to buy at the front desk. I followed instructions and was told after we checked out of our room that they do not have robes for sale even though there are notices all over the room to the contrary. The robes are soft as silk but feel like a really expensive cashmere. I feel in love and left the hotel like I broke up with my first boyfriend. So pack that bad-boy right in your suitcase before you leave and let the hotel bill you.

Right on the riverwalk! Close to restaurants. Close to shopping/tourist attractions.
