Deeply disappointed with the inflexibility and customer service here. I needed to change my dates two weeks before my stay, not cancel, just shift to different dates that would have actually been a longer stay, meaning more revenue for them. Despite this being a win-win, hotel refused entirely, hiding behind the non-refundable booking policy rather than showing any goodwill or common sense. To make matters worse, when I called to discuss it, the receptionist Amir was shockingly rude and unprofessional, not at all what you’d expect from someone in a customer-facing role. No empathy, no attempt to find a solution, just a dismissive attitude.
We had an amazing stay we especially loved the tour with Deborah the historian she was lovely
A localização do hotel é excelente e a arquitetura histórica do prédio é bonita e marcante. Alguns funcionários foram educados e tentaram ajudar durante a estadia
Minha experiência foi extremamente negativa. O quarto apresentava presença de bugs/insetos, o que gerou grande desconforto e preocupação com higiene e segurança. A situação tornou impossível permanecer hospedado normalmente e fui obrigado a antecipar meu check-out. Para um hotel desse padrão, eu esperava um nível de limpeza, manutenção e controle sanitário muito superior. A experiência acabou sendo frustrante e decepcionante.
We didnt have breakfast in the hotel.I
Beautiful hotel
The thermostat in the room didn’t work. The air ran continuously and was very loud. The room was very cold.
The Brown Palace is very nice. It's an old world charm that has been well maintained. No complaints.
Our Stay at the Brown Palace very disappointing. The hotel appears to have went downhill since our last visit years ago. We paid for a luxury suite. The view was nice and the bed was alright. When we first walked into our suite out hearts sank. It badly needed to be refreshed. The carpet was showing signs of wear. The couch and chairs looked like used furniture from a garage sale! 10 years ago the bath towels were large, soft and luxurious. Now you get a few small low grade scratchy towels like you would expect at a budget motel. 1 small piece of soap, 1 small token lotion, almost no take home memorabilia at all! The tv streaming did not work. Luxury robes used to be hanging in the closet. No more! The worst part was when I complained to the front desk. I was repeatedly told that she was sorry that I felt way- a non apology actually putting it back on us! Her utter lack of concern was appalling! She was smug and condescending. After her the manager's demeanor and attitude was shocking! They could care less! Cannot recommend needless to say.
The WORST service anywhere! Unfriendly and rude front desk staff. They refused to add my Marriott number saying it had to be done when I made the reservation. The room was nice but there was no temperature control in the room. Pounding coming from the room next door. Parking fees were ridiculous!
This hotel is beautiful & historic. The staff was very professional and nice. The high tea was quite an experience! We loved it, it was first time for myself & my guest.
Did not find a firm pillow
What can I say about the Brown Palace Hotel? It’s incredibly historic and absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture that truly stands out. There are several dining options on the property—around five in total—including one that offers a lovely high tea experience. Our room was thoughtfully updated to provide all the modern comforts you’d expect, while still preserving the building’s original charm. Walking through the hotel felt like stepping back in time, making the entire stay both unique and memorable.
We booked the Beatles Suite for two nights (which was a dream come true for me, since I’m a Beatles fan), but when we checked in, we were told that the room was occupied by someone who had booked it for five nights. After lengthy negotiations, we agreed to the Presidential Suite for one night (I insisted on a 50% discount for the inconvenience), and they promised us our Beatles Suite for the second night.
The Presidential Suite was very nice, spacious, and interesting—it felt like you were living in a museum, though with leaky faucets, a strangely made bed (some extra rags were hanging off the edges), one bathrobe for two, no silverware, and a TV that didn’t work... in short, the only things that made it a suite were the room size and the historical atmosphere.
The Beatles Room was smaller, of course, and we were overwhelmed by the Beatles vibe, but there was nothing luxurious about it either—broken faucets, a strange shower, no silverware, a TV and jukebox that didn’t work, and a bathroom door that had a broken lock. However, the record player worked, and it was wonderful to listen to the Beatles’ records on it.
I’d also like to note that we weren’t able to use all our points on the e-gift card because, for some reason, the girls at the front desk deducted our room discount credit first (They should have deducted those points first, and only then the cash from that card) so the Marriott e-gift points remained on that strange card.
By the way, Marriott is misleading on its booking website when it says you’ll get a discount on a prepaid room—in reality, they don’t offer that discount—you pay the full price, and the points remain on your e-Gift card which is very hard to realised.
Lovely historic hotel. Nicely furnished rooms.
