Unexpected private tour from the amazing Patrick!
Pros:

We didn’t stay here, but my wife really wanted to see the hotel because she loves The Great Gatsby. She called ahead and found out the usual tour guide was on vacation that week but that we could walk around ourselves.

We told the front desk we wanted to explore and they gave us some info on the history of the hotel. While we were looking at that, head of security Patrick walked up and offered to give us a private tour! He showed us around and told lots of really cool stories about the hotel and his experiences working there. Our favorite room was the Rathskeller.

Beautiful place, tons of history, and Patrick was so kind and entertaining. Great experience!

Outstanding Conference Experience and Exceptional Staff
Pros:

Our association recently held its annual conference at the Seelbach, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Eighteen months ago, Trey Moreau did a wonderful job helping us evaluate and select the hotel based on our conference needs, and that decision proved to be an excellent one.

Throughout our 2½-day conference in June, the entire staff was attentive, friendly, professional, and hands-on in ensuring everything ran smoothly. Our conference contact, Jeremy Miller, and his team were outstanding. Ceedy was always available in person and incredibly responsive whenever I texted him, quickly helping us with anything we needed.

Carlos was one of several staff members we worked with daily, and he was consistently friendly, kind, and helpful. The entire conference staff was exceptional, and I wish I could name each person individually because everyone contributed to the success of our event.

The hotel and front desk staff were equally welcoming and accommodating. Tyra assisted us on several occasions and was always helpful and pleasant to work with.

The Seelbach provided excellent service, beautiful facilities, and a team that genuinely cared about our experience. I would highly recommend this hotel for both leisure travel and conferences and would not hesitate to host another event there in the future.

THANK YOU!
Pros:

This was the most professional group I have ever dealt with for a conference. The members were there for contract negotiations for the month of May. The management team could not have been more accommodating. They were flexible throughout the whole process. I cannot thank every one enough for going above and beyond. I would like to give a special thank you to Christiane Tripp, Latonya Barlow and the rest of the team. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel!

Great historic hotel.
Pros:

Had a great evening at this venue. Parking is a little more difficult then I expected with construction and other issues but the hotel itself is a historic gem. Make sure to arrange for a tour with the historian and bellhop as we missed the opportunity but I bet it would be great. Also make sure to walk down the stairs to the Ratskeller as it is amazing if you are into those types of things.

Pros:

It was clean

Cons:

I called before booking to ensure we were able to do prom photos and was told absolutely since we were a guest. 3 times and 3 different people we were asked how long we were going to be doing photos and that there was a wedding party and that we needed to be out of the way which was fine we had no problem moving when the wedding party came but they were rude about it and one man told us they didn’t like when people booked for proms because only 2 people stay and the whole class and their families come and fill up the lobby. There were only 2 doing photos in our group and 2 people there taking pictures. I felt rushed and like we didn’t matter because there was a wedding! I understand there was a wedding but we were guests as well

True classic!
Pros:

What a neat experience! We were here for a business function & were so delighted with our stay! The history was fascinating! And the decor literally transported us back in time. Just beautiful! The staff was so courteous. Even at one point a clerk stepped away from the desk to help us get a photo on the beautiful stairs - and even turned off some of the lights just to make sure our picture was perfect. Unreal. The room was stunning. Please remember this is a very old hotel, so the bathrooms are much smaller than today’s standards, and the shower was very very small. We were on the 10th floor & the water pressure in the shower was very low. But we totally understand. We would highly recommend this location to anyone that wants to step back in time and forget the chaos of “normal” life, and just relish in reliving the past.

Great stop for dinner
Pros:

Stopped in for dinner, The Old Seelbach Bar is great. Food was well prepared, service was great, just what we were looking for in downtown Louisville. The lobby of this facility is beautiful!
