Great hotel,, terrible valet parking
Pros:

Love the hotel! It is antiquely sophisticated! Great location. Well appointed rooms.

It would have been 5 starts…but the valet service is horrible! 4th stay here in the last 2 months. NEVER was my car here when needed even though I allowed 20 minutes using the APP to get request my vehicle!

Lovely Stay At Historic Gem

This historic gem in the heart of Louisville is a great place to stay! The grandeur of the lobby will take your breath away, especially with the grand staircase. If you're looking for a neat and experiential stay, the Seelbach is meant for you!

Convenient downtown hotel
Pros:

Tremendous amount of history in this place. The bar was a great place to meet up with friends. Rooms were small but worked well enough for travelers; very clean and nicely appointed.

Fun Historic Getaway
Pros:

Loved the history, historic building and the great bar.

Cons:

Very few floors had working ice or drink machines and the staff didn't seem to know where the working ones were. At this price, in such a property, EVERY floor should have working, accessible amenities.

Additionally, signage and access to the parking garage could be vastly improved. Once parked there was no signage at stairwells or elevator to indicate how to reach the hotel. It was a minor irritation but again, this is basic hospitality management and the price was not basic by any accounting.

Pros:

Friendly staff, nice choice of food all day long, good size of room

Cons:

Noisy people on the corridor - the doors don't keep noise off at all.
Vents from other rooms could be heard in mine

We had an amazing experience here! The rooms were super nice and also super clean! Service was top tier in all departments. They offer valet services & the young lady savannah was super sweet and was very helpful! The location was very nice as well, downtown area near a lot of neat other activities and plenty of restaurants!

Historic, but worn
Pros:

This hotel has genuine historic charm, but it’s showing its age and currently has construction work going on outside. There was also a noticeable homeless presence right by the entrance, which wasn’t the most welcoming first impression.

Service overall wasn’t up to the standard we’d expect — a bit inconsistent throughout our stay. Valet parking was another letdown: our car was left outdoors and unattended rather than in a secured area.

The one bright spot was the bar restaurant, where the service was genuinely friendly. Food was decent, if pricey, and — fittingly for Louisville — they had an impressive bourbon selection.

Overall, a hotel that trades on its history but needs some real investment to match it.

Feel of old lux and class. A beauty!
Pros:

The feel of old luxury and Gatsby style. Well mantained and beautiful old hotel, nice hotel bar with good food and an impressive burbon menu. Some minor improvements could have been done on service to support the lux feel of the hotel, and some mantainance is also to be done. Recommended!

Business Event at the Historic Seelbach Hilton Louisville
Pros:

The Seelbach Hilton Louisville is an absolute gem and beautiful hotel. Everyone that I interacted with, from the front desk, restaurant/bar, to housekeeping, were great! I was there for a business event and Virginia, Express Meetings Manager, was a tremendous help to me planning this event from many states away. Answering all of my questions and concerns that come with planning a several day business meeting. She even offered to stop by a restaurant on her way home to check on a reservation because I couldn't get the restaurant to call me back to confirm. Next Level Service!

Unexpected private tour from the amazing Patrick!
Pros:

We didn’t stay here, but my wife really wanted to see the hotel because she loves The Great Gatsby. She called ahead and found out the usual tour guide was on vacation that week but that we could walk around ourselves.

We told the front desk we wanted to explore and they gave us some info on the history of the hotel. While we were looking at that, head of security Patrick walked up and offered to give us a private tour! He showed us around and told lots of really cool stories about the hotel and his experiences working there. Our favorite room was the Rathskeller.

Beautiful place, tons of history, and Patrick was so kind and entertaining. Great experience!

Outstanding Conference Experience and Exceptional Staff
Pros:

Our association recently held its annual conference at the Seelbach, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Eighteen months ago, Trey Moreau did a wonderful job helping us evaluate and select the hotel based on our conference needs, and that decision proved to be an excellent one.

Throughout our 2½-day conference in June, the entire staff was attentive, friendly, professional, and hands-on in ensuring everything ran smoothly. Our conference contact, Jeremy Miller, and his team were outstanding. Ceedy was always available in person and incredibly responsive whenever I texted him, quickly helping us with anything we needed.

Carlos was one of several staff members we worked with daily, and he was consistently friendly, kind, and helpful. The entire conference staff was exceptional, and I wish I could name each person individually because everyone contributed to the success of our event.

The hotel and front desk staff were equally welcoming and accommodating. Tyra assisted us on several occasions and was always helpful and pleasant to work with.

The Seelbach provided excellent service, beautiful facilities, and a team that genuinely cared about our experience. I would highly recommend this hotel for both leisure travel and conferences and would not hesitate to host another event there in the future.
