We ate breakfast at Foxtails. Pretty good but not much to choose from.
not being told price for parking ahead of time and check in person could not tell us either.
We had no hot water for showering. Called front desk they said run the sink and shower for 5 minutes. We did and it worked for one person but the next person was freezing and then it went to scalding water off and on. Same thing the next day.
Trying to find the place was not easy either. No big signs for the hotel that you could see on the main street. Had to call hotel and they told us they were on the side street Pearl and parking garage there also.
Not easy!
Lobby was very pretty esp in old part
Our room was a little shabby. Wanted to take a bath but drain was broken and there was hair packed in it. Walls scuffed.. expected nicer
The main entry was lovely and the location on the river was great.
Room smelled of cigarettes. They turned the water off the next day without having warned us before (still should have been a discount beyond warning) so we couldn’t shower, flush the toilet or even brush our teeth. They suggested lug our stuff to the workout facility and get ready there. I had to go down an request my paid for late checkout be removed from the bill. It was still a $400 room. Nope.
Love the proximity to everything
The separation between toilet and shower and sinks
The hotel is undeniably beautiful, with a rich history and elegant surroundings. While the staff at check-in, Stephen and Mylia, were very pleasant and accommodating, the overall experience didn't quite match the reputation. My initial room had enough issues that I requested a move, I was on a corner and motorcycles were up and down much of the night. The second was was a definite improvement, the stay never reached the level of exceptional service and attention to detail I had anticipated. It was a nice stay, but not one that lived up to the considerable hype.
Our room stank of cigarettes. It was in the sheets and bedding. The room is small and the chairs had the bottom torn and hanging down. No shampoo or conditioner. The windows really need to be cleaned. I was surprised it was rather beat. The tub shower nasty. The smell was the killer though. That’s just too bad. Staff friendly and funny but don’t make up for the junky feel. Lobby stunning so I was excited when we arrived. Bummer.
Bluetooth key so we could go straight to our room.
Needed more than two towels. Thankfully I was able to text with the staff and they dropped them off while we were at dinner.
The view was amazing and everything was very clean
One of the main reasons we stayed is for our toddler to swim. The pool was way too cold.
It was a beautiful hotel, and very close to the venue we needed to get to the evening we were there!Excellent staff from the valets to the reception area.
We were in room 1581, and the when the fan kicked on, it was really very loud. I like to sleep in the quiet dark. It was dark, but the fan disrupted our sleep.
I was also disappointed that there was only one restaurant available for dinner, then the 90 wait for a table. We did find another restaurant off property, but it would have been nice at least be able to sit in the lobby bar at some pint that evening.
It was absolutely beautiful!!
Location, restaurant options
Rooms were old & needing updating. Weird layout. Stains on carpet & furniture. Makeup on bathroom walls. Old fabric shower curtain. No hot water. I paid way too much for this room for what it was. I’ve stayed at nicer Fairfield Inns!
The front desk were amazing and so patient answering my questions and helping make my stay easier!
Everything was absolutely amazing!!
The hotel is beautiful and the front desk staff are friendly. They upgraded us to a corner room with river view. Everything is new and thoughtfully decorated.
The hotel was awesome with restaurants, bars and shopping. Staff around the hotel at all times. also the kids enjoyed the pool and tennis courts very much. location was perfect for downtown activities.
The place was packed but, their was a large event. For the money the rooms were a bit small/cramped. one of the elevators was down the whole weekend so with the hotel being fully booked it added complications.
