Pros:

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Traiano during our honeymoon in Rome. The location was absolutely perfect — right in the center of many tourist attractions, with most sites within walking distance, including the train station, which made exploring the city so convenient.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and gelato spots around the area. A special thank you to Katia, who was so sweet and attentive to every detail. She even gave my husband and me a small souvenir, which made our stay feel even more personal and memorable.

Since we were celebrating our honeymoon, they surprised us by decorating our room with balloons and rose petals. It was such a thoughtful and romantic gesture that made us feel truly welcomed and celebrated.

We also really appreciated how well the air conditioning worked — especially after spending time outside in the Rome heat. Coming back to a cool and comfortable room at the end of the day was perfect.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome, especially couples celebrating a special occasion.

Cons:

While we truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Traiano, there are a few areas where improvements could make the experience even better.

The hotel has an older, classic style, so guests should not expect very modern rooms. While the charm fits the atmosphere of Rome, some parts of the room did feel outdated. Cleanliness was acceptable but could definitely be improved. Some of the washcloths appeared to have yellow stains, especially when wet, although we were unsure if it was simply discoloration from use. The carpets also seemed quite old, and when we requested cleaning, the staff vacuumed them, but deeper cleaning or replacement may help refresh the rooms overall.

That said, the staff were very kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Katia mentioned that the hotel is planning to do some upgrades in the future, which is very promising and will likely improve the guest experience even more. We appreciate their hospitality and hope to see the updates on a future visit.

Pros:

European style breakfast was wonderful with may options. Staff was polite and friendly. Location was great. Bathroom was large and the room was a nice size, too.

Cons:

Adding a 2nd fan may have been helpful.

Fantastic hotel withing walking distance of tourist sites at a reasonable price.
Pros:

The hotel was very close, walking distance to Trevi fountain and restaurants, but what my friends and I were impressed with were the staff.
We dealt with different staff during our 3 night stay, who were very helpful in recommending restaurants nearby, to booking tourist bus and also one of my friends left her wallet on the sofa in reception and the staff called me immediately to let us know of this which was a relief.
