Nice hotel for the right price. Rooms can be small and some have different bathrooms.
Rooms can look a bit dated. Service was good but nothing outstanding. Connection to mall is very convenient especially for food court.
Here’s a version that reads like something a real guest would write rather than a polished marketing piece:
We’ve stayed at a lot of luxury hotels, and the Four Seasons Chicago continues to set the standard. The recent renovation of the lobby, bar, restaurant, and spa is absolutely stunning. Every space feels elegant, fresh, and thoughtfully designed.
What truly makes this hotel special, though, is the people. Stacy in dining and Vincente at the front desk were exceptional. Both showed genuine empathy, professionalism, and a level of hospitality that’s becoming increasingly rare. They turned an already great stay into a memorable one and truly represent what the Four Seasons brand is all about.
Without question, this is the best place to stay in Chicago. As an added bonus, you never know who you’ll run into, we’ve seen professional athletes, entire sports teams, and well-known musicians staying here over the years. It’s always a fun surprise.
We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Chicago.
Fantastc experience
We loved our stay,
Our room was amazing, the view so beautiful…
It is like to come back home
Spent 6 nights at the Four Seasons Hotel, Chicago. Everything was perfect and we were well taken care of.
The view, location and service were above expectations. We had a lakeview room with a window seat which was perfect for taking in sunrise with morning coffee. The room was super clean, even the windowsills, everything you would expect from this brand. There is list of fitness and wellness items available for rent during your stay such as weights, yoga mat, red mask, etc. Items you may have at home but not want to pack on a trip. Fees were reasonable, nice touch. We were greeted professionally by the front desk staff person, who gave all 4 of us a glass of champagne (2 of us were staying, the others were friends). The lounge area is open with plenty of seating near the restaurant and bar to have a drink, snack while you wait for your room or just relax. Room service had some unique choices for all appetites and ages including desserts, ice cream, etc. The infinity pool and spa open to all guests was welcoming and nicely appointed with loungers, chairs and towels. You can also use the sauna and steam room with your stay.
Excellent service. Very attentive staff. Rooms have great views, and the bar area is a lot of fun. Probably the best high end hotel in Chicago. Certainty better than both the Ritz and Waldorf.
The Four Seasons Chicago team is second to none. Our kid just graduated from The University of Chicago and we have stayed with them many times over the last four years. They are warm, kind, intuitive and consistent. We have been interacting with the same people during the last four years, and they always make us feel like family with their warmth and kindness. The food is great. The property is immaculate and we cannot rate it high enough. Chicago as a city is fantastic, and there is no better place to stay!
The Four Seasons is the only hotel I stay at in Chicago. The staff is wonderful - Maggie, Claire, Grace, Steven, Mario, Irina, Margarita and many others. The rooms are classy and comfortable. The restaurant and bar is welcoming and the food is top notch. When in Chicago, the Four Seasons is the only place to stay!
I've stayed at a few of the great Chicago hotels such as the Peninsula and this one compares very favorably. It is just off Michigan Avenue above a shopping center including a Bloomingdales. Across Michigan Avenue is the John Hancock Building. It's about a 7 minute walk from the Washington Street red line metro station. I used the metro to get to the hotel from the airport saving time and the cost of an Uber. The metro will also get you along the main street downtown. It's a good location right in the heart of the upper end of the Magnificent Mile.
I had a premiere lake view suite with panoramic corner windows and a large living room with a second half bath including a standing shower. This is important because the master bedroom did not have a walk-in shower. The AC worked well and the room was fine.
The swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym were all very good. The steam room was at the low end of acceptable; it is not strong and the attendant said it could not be adjusted. This was true for the 3 days of my stay so it was not a fluke. There is a bathing suit spinner in the locker room. The pool area lacks a clock and people were asking each other what time it was. There were packets of fresh granola in the gym and assorted flavored waters. The pool and spa are open till 9pm.
Breakfast buffet at the Adorn restaurant is very good. I would like to see hot cereal on the buffet and not have to order it for $20 from the menu. The blueberry donuts were memorable. Dinner at the restaurant was also excellent; they have a good pastry chef as well. Service was very good at the restaurant. Concierge had helpful dinner and music recommendations and secured us a table at a good restaurant at the last minute.
Other than advising that you either get a suite or check if your room will have a standing shower if you care, this hotel works very well and I'd definitely go back.
My husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons Chicago for our anniversary trip and had a wonderful experience.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. We were especially grateful that the hotel was able to accommodate an early check-in after our flight. The staff was warm, professional, and attentive throughout our stay.
The location was fantastic and made it easy to get to the restaurants, activities, and shows we had planned. Our lake-view room was beautiful, and we appreciated the twice-daily housekeeping service, which added an extra touch of luxury.
Breakfast at Adorn was delicious each morning and was a highlight of our stay.
Overall, the Four Seasons was the perfect choice for our anniversary getaway. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago.
Highest marks for Four Season Chicago. Great and safe location. The staff at the front desk, the concierge and wait staff were friendly and made things happen. And…great views! I highly recommend the Chicago Four Seasons.
Over the years, I have stayed at all the hotel chains along Michigan Avenue, and the hospitality at this hotel is by far the best. The employees are friendly and truly want to ensure you have a great stay. I will diffidently stay there again!
An excellent experience from start to finish. A special thank you to Karen, who went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. She was incredibly responsive, professional, thoughtful, and helpful throughout the planning process, and her attention to detail was truly exceptional. The level of hospitality and customer service exceeded expectations, and it was clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority. Highly recommend, and many thanks again to Karen for making the experience so special.
Before I left Ireland, my sister handed me a Birthday Card with the strict instruction not to open it until the actual day. The actual day itself occurred on the first morning of my stay at the Chicago Four Seasons. I opened it and left it on the room table. The room cleaning staff spotted it and left a warm, welcoming note on my Birthday. Later on, a complimentary box of chocolates appeared. Nice touch.
And, there were many more nice touches from the Chicago Four Season's staff.
After arriving late and tired from New York on the Saturday night, the desk staff efficiently booked me in and advised me to dine in the restaurant while there was still time. I had a delicious late-night cheeseburger, followed by an ice-cold lager, the "77", personally recommended by Alessandro.
For Sunday breakfast, one had a choice of opting for either the buffet or the à la carte menu. Mariana, the waitress assigned to my table, mentioned that I could "mix and match". So, it was the granola parfait and scrambled egg and bacon with three choices of bread to get the day started for me.
Over the next few days of my stay, I was ably taken care of by John, Damien, Felipe and Jessie of the restaurant staff, either at breakfast or evening dinner. I would recommend the steak and French fries for dinner.
The Chicago Four Seasons excelled in one other area that, thus far, I hadn't come across ; the room cleaning staff are on duty in the morning and also call again in the evening, ensuring that the room is always spotless.
Will I return ? I'll have to return. I would like another ice-cold "77" !
Gerry.
Exception hotel!! Quality service, superb accommodations. Everything I expect from Four Seasons and more. We’re frequent guests at Four Seasons hotels and the Four Seasons Chicago did not disappoint.
Our family stayed for a long weekend at the Chicago Four Seasons. The staff was exceptional, activities for the kids, with a toy box they visited frequently. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. Housekeeping very helpful with any requests. We had a wonderful weekend and will be going back again.
I can't say enough about our most recent stay with The Four Seasons Chicago. I admit, I'm a Four Seasons person. But only because of the consistency of high standards from check in, to room assignment, to housekeeping, to the wonderful hosts and hostesses and wait staff at Adorn Restaurant, to the wonderful and always helpful and incredible Concierge team, and the guys out front The guys out front are the first faces you meet when you come to any Four Seasons hotel. Those guys (this time it's warmer) greet us and take care of our luggage no matter the weather. Always with a smile and warm greeting. Wonderful group of guys.
Can't forget to mention the leadership. An organization is only as good as the direction and genuine caring for those they lead. The leadership knows and embraces their staff because they know while the hotel is beautiful and the surroundings comfortable, The Four Seasons itself would not be the pinnacle of luxury branded hotels if it were not for its people.
Love, love, love everyone and everything about The Four Seasons Chicago. Can't wait to return!
The Four Seasons is our home away from home (with a lot more amenities!) for visiting family in Chicago. The quality of our stays is always high, and this visit was no exception. It is great to be audibly welcomed back by the conceierge, the front desk staff and the wait staff in the restaurant.
Always love the Four Seasons and this location in downtown Chicago was great. We had a 1 bedroom king suite facing city skylines. Staff refers to you by name. Had cocktails in the bar onsite. Bedding was great. Mini bar inside the room. Two large flat screen tvs. The only minor complaint was the toilet was extremely low and I’m 5’7 and my husband is 6 feet so it was way too low and small.
We had a magical 48-hour stay at the hotel, leaving only for dinner a short walk away. Everyone at the hotel from the front desk to concierge to the pool staff to room service and maid service and valet made us feel incredibly special and pampered. Everything at the hotel was perfectly appointed and we felt like we were living in a castle with incredible bedding, welcoming rooms, lots of amenities, and DELCIOUS food (the ham and cheese omelet I had one morning was one of the best I've had in my life). We are local (we came for a Spring Break staycation) and we will absolutely be back for more memory making and relaxation at - as far as I'm concerned - the best hotel in Chicago. Thank you to all the Four Seasons staff for making our stay truly delightful!
