Expensive but conveniently located hotel, basic, small rooms, nice breakfast, mediocre service overa
Pros:

Breakfast was nice, although typical Irish fare, slightly bland. They offered lattes etc for coffee, which was nice. Front desk raised the temp in our room when requested to do so. They held our luggage for us before and after check in/ check out. Definitely right in the middle of the "action" of Temple Bar area.

Cons:

had a shower wall seal issue, bathroom flooded some during showers, and there was visible mold under bathtub rim in that area. Item (electric socket converter) was left in room after checkout, and although we called about it within an hour of checking out, and checked back again the next day, no one knew if it had been found by "housekeeping" or not, messages not conveyed, visited hotel 2 times after returning to Dublin to inquire, got no answers, even though last front desk person went back to look in the housekeeping lost and found- frustrating experience. Too expensive for the room and experience received, in my opinion. All about location, I guess.

It was obvious that customer service was the key ingredient to making this hotel is one of the best
Pros:

The front desk was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. Breakfast in the morning was enough to keep us going until lunch The servers were fantastic and engaged in conversation. Daniel at the front desk called a taxi for us and it arrived within 10 minutes.

Hop on Hop off direkt in der Nähe.

A wonderful place to be
Pros:

We recently stayed at this hotel and while the rooms were very small and nowhere to really unpack and put stuff away, the location and the ambiance far outweighed this 'challenge'. We received several warnings about noise, and while there was some - we didn't find it cumbersome or burdensome and it didn't hinder our stay at all. By far tho' was the friendliness and hospitality of Dave in O'Riordan's. You must go and have a pint and a natter with him - and we will definitely do so when we go back!
