Great spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 separate bathrooms and full kitchen. Plenty of room for 4 of us. Very comfortable beds and amazing view of Sydney. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Chatswood with the shopping centre at the front door, heaps of food and shopping options and train station super close.
There was no reception staff when we arrived which made the check in process a little difficult. We got it sorted after multiple phone calls but could have been prevented if staff were available in person. In the room we were only provided with 3 towels despite booking for 4 people. The shower was very temperamental and not easy to get a good temperature.
It was very clean and tidy, and the tv worked well.
Comfortable bed and lounger room.
It had been freshly painted and all you could smell was paint fumes and turps.
Close to the train station and concourse theatre
Tv wasn't working was
It's convenient location access to all amenities
I suggest all rooms furniture white and brown goods checked and get replaced whats damaged and missing
Few rooms i rented few things need looking at
Central to shops
No air con to control and no extra blankets or towels
I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could.
My stay at The Sebel Chatswood was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
The first issue started at around 9:36 pm when I called reception to report what appeared to be bug bites all over another guest staying in my room after sleeping on the sofa bed. I was told someone would organise another room and call me back within 30 minutes. That call never came. No follow-up, no apology, no alternative room.
The second incident was far more disturbing.
For hours we could hear a woman on the floor below screaming accompanied by loud banging. It genuinely sounded like someone was in serious danger.
I immediately called reception and explained exactly what I was hearing. I also told them I suffer from PTSD due to previous traumatic experiences involving similar situations and that the screaming was causing me significant distress. I was assured security would investigate and that I would receive an update.
Again, nobody called back.
When the screaming started again, I rang reception for a second time, only to be told there was no security available.
At that point I felt I had no choice but to contact the police myself because I genuinely believed someone’s life could have been at risk. No guest should ever have to do that.
What disappointed me most wasn’t just the bugs or the terrifying incident—it was the complete lack of care, urgency, communication and professionalism from hotel staff. I was promised updates twice and received none. Concerns about another person’s safety, as well as my own wellbeing, were simply ignored.
This experience left everyone in our room frightened, distressed and feeling completely unsafe. If there really had been someone being assaulted, held against their will or experiencing a medical emergency, the lack of response could have had devastating consequences.

Nice place. Onlyproblem was we had booked through 3rd party then had to postpone the booking. Took a long to sort out but
Bed was really comfortable, location is ideally central for shopping and the public transport interchange is a short 2 minute walk
Room could do with a refurbish eg new carpet and maybe a bathroom upgrade but still value for money.
Location was good. Rollaway bedding was adequate for 12yo.
The after hours check-in process was a joke, several people waiting in reception calling after hours trying to check in. We missed our dinner reservation because it took so long. Once checked in were left short a bath towel and no one available to provide more. We were given codes over the phone to unlock rooms and sent on a wild goose chase late at night.
The lovely lady at reception was a pleasure to do business with.
Added bonus of finding out our room had been upgraded!!
Easy entry and exit from the facility. Location was perfect for our needs.
Our room was warm and inviting.... and so quiet :)
We appreciated the extended balcony, and the thoughtful, practical design of the room.
Some of the net curtains were very old and ripped.
The room was clean, but was due for a thorough spring cleaning.
The location, super close to train station and Westfield. The beds were very comfortable
I have never complained about accommodation before in my life. Here is a list of everything wrong:
-dirty everything (curry in microwave, splash back, kitchen cupboards) all furniture covered in dust or dirty child hand prints, sauce on table, blood on toilet seat and vanity, verandah covered in leaves and dirt, laundry a mess, apartment smelt
-50 minute after check in time wait to enter our room
-foyer covered in someone's spilt milkshake for at least 5 hours
-difficult to communicate/understand receptionist
-failure to advise us of change in reception number upon checking in to be able to call reception to advise on state of room
-cleaners spent 45 mins while we were trying to get ready re-cleaning our apartment
-completely run down, broken toilet seat and bathroom accessories (which could have been overlooked if it wasn't such a disgusting mess)
