Excellent corner room on upper floor. Nice enough view. The rooms are smaller than I thought they would be. The bathroom is toooo small. No space around sink for say a makeup kit or toiletries. The shelf below was very small and in use. But room very clean and great room service and the room was refreshed early in the day for our second night.
Too small bathroom - very clean but way too small especially for two people. With two people no place for two suitcases opened up. We were traveling for several weeks and had luggage.

No coffee in room! No refrigerator! Had to go to lobby to get coffee! The toilet system was very poor. Had to call maintenance to unplug toilet! Had to change rooms.

The parking garage to hotel transition did not go smoothly. Half a staircase with a suitcase when I got lost.

We don’t usually make reservations in 5 star hotels, however, we were in town for the Blue Angels air show and thought we’d make it a special weekend. We weren’t disappointed. The Northern, built in 1902, will be celebrating their 125th anniversary next year and the hotel looks the part. Every staff member we encountered was cordial and welcoming. The king bed in our room was comfortable with a choice of pillows which allowed each of us to find one to suit our preference. The complimentary morning coffee (available by the front desk) was delicious! On top of everything, the Blue Angels pilots and support crew were also guests of the Northern for the weekend.
