Location was great, lovely setting, friendly staff, adequate room.
The bathroom is in need of a deep clean, nooks and crannies just a little grubby.
The staff and breakfast was really good.
The location, the scenery and the old building were beautiful.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom was in need of an upgrade. Although as clean as possible it had an air of a mens cloakroom which spoilt the comfort of the room. The shower was not good-black mould along the bottom seal and so small it was difficult to use without leaving the door open-so a towel needed to go on the floor. The faucet was large and stuck out making the space smaller and the head of the shower needed clearing as the water went in every direction except downwards:if you dropped the soap Lord help you!!! 🤪
Breakfast was excellent, the bed excellent the staff great
The room no 8 needs a good clean so much dust and cobwebs plus a biscuit that looks like it's been there for ages ,the room needs a paint job and the bathroom could do with a upgrade .....
Location next to town centre, access to countryside south of Hitchin, good parking and the building itself.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Heat in my Priory Inn room, even with a fan...better in Priory Hotel room.
not much
Almost most every thing
Location, staff and service were excellent.
Breakfast was ok . Thankfully chanda produced wonderful service and poached eggs.
There were electrical maintenance issues in our original room , which should have been attended to before we got there. We were moved next door and the same electrical issue was in this room.
Room was clean , but tired abd tatty. Bathroom was adequate . But needs updating..
Centrally located with friendly staff.
The decor and room were tired and in need updating. The room was clean, however. The quality of the food available was obviously predicated on cost and generally v poor. The cooked breakfast virtually inedible.
Location. Visually impressive
Seemed a little down trodded. Cracked tiles in the bathroom and looked in need of minor upgrades such as curtains not hanging up fully and mix of low quality side lamps and better quality ones which seemed odd

the staff ,David in particular was excellent
the chef and his menu sublime ,which i wasnt expecting
Friendly and accessible cant fault
the room was little tired
The breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice and self service. If a cooked breakfast was required it was served but we chose continental.
There was no hot water. The panel covering the pipes under the sink was laying on the bathroom floor and there was a dribble of water from the pipe. We were not aware there were so many stairs and no lift.
Very easy parking system, very helpful staff, very lovely scenery & town, loved the old school British vibe of the architecture, they helped book a taxi for the concert I was going to which was a fair distance away, the breakfast was better then I would have expected, very clean rooms with comfortable beds & easy shower to use + free toiletries if you were not in possession of any. Accommodation can always be less pricy in this current economy, but I have paid more for less! Overall very satisfied with my stay here, will definitely go back if In the area.
Nothing to not like, really, the man behind the bar couldn’t pour a pint to save his life lol, but it’s a hotel at the end of the day, not a pub & he happily repoured with my guidance haha, was a very friendly gentleman as were all the staff.
