Lovely stay
Pros:

Love staying here. Staff are lovely. Room was clean. It's a very old building so can look a bit rough around the edges, but that's to be expected.

Cons:

No water in shower. When showering the water would stop. Do not attempt to wash your hair. It also takes hours for the toilet to fill back up with water.

Pros:

The location was very good we were a group of 12 adults some of the rooms had been newly decorated some of the rooms had hairdryers but no mirror in bedroom to do your hair the food severed was absolutely amazing

Cons:

The only downside we thought the drinks in the bar very expensive

Our favourite North Eastern Hotel
Pros:

The staff were so friendly, we went back for the 2nd time to this hotel, only because we enjoyed our stay the first time already, the food is fantastic and brilliant value for money and the view from the room is 2nd to none, we were given the newly refurbished Durham Suite and we absolutely loved it, couple of little niggles, the toilet is too low and the ceiling above the window isn't finished yet, but everything else is just so beautiful, we will come back next year again

Pros:

Hotel dining and bar areas were very clean. Food was nice. Very close to beach. Easy to book an evening meal at the hotel. Nice short drive to the attractions at Kirkleatham. Cleaning staff were very friendly. Twin room was large with comfy beds. Fine for 2 nights.

Cons:

There was a wedding on so that seemed to impede service somewhat. I had a longish wait to check-in as no-one was on the reception desk, had to ring the bell a few times, room carpet had stains on it. Room 3, really loud noise all night every night- akin to a generator noise, it was hard to sleep straight through due to this.
Parking onsite was not possible, we used the local square which was free over the weekend, small charge on the monday morning; it was unexpected to not be able to park on site.

Fantastic hotel right on the sea front. I had breakfast included which was great. All good here is great. All staff helpful and friendly. Room was great and comfortable
