Bathroom was dirty had hairs all over the sink. Check in took 30 mins at least

It was not good at all
Average stay. Worst part was requesting a room away from the elevator... only to be given one at the very end of the hallway, which shared walls with SERVICE elevators. I only realized that later in the evening as I kept hearing the wall shaking... I looked around and quickly found out the cause. Was too tired to move rooms then but it definitely affected my ability to sleep. Once you hear it you cannot un-hear it (and they were running nonstop at least until 11pm and then again by 5am). Avoid at all costs. Otherwise your typical average Hilton with a convenient but extremely pricey food shop in the lobby. Prob won't come back, there are better options in SF

The bar itself is already spectacular — a 360-degree view of the city with a breathtaking sunset on one side. My friends and I arrived around 8:30 PM and were completely taken by the atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes you feel on top of the world.
But our evening took an unexpected turn. When we stepped away briefly to catch the sunset from the other side of the bar, a group of men sitting at the same table finished our drinks and hid our glasses. It was shocking — because they looked completely respectable.
What happened next is something I will carry with me for a long time.
Before we even had a chance to report it, our waitress, Salma A had already spotted what happened. She is remarkably attentive — especially toward her female customers — and had already approached her manager by the time we returned. She handled the entire situation with professionalism, composure, and genuine care. The men were held accountable, and Salma made sure we received brand new drinks on the house.
She didn't just fix the problem — she restored our evening completely. That level of awareness, courage, and compassion is rare, and Salma deserves every bit of recognition she gets. This experience reminded me that appearances can be deeply deceiving, but also that there are people in this world who truly look out for others.
This bar has earned a loyal customer — not just for the view, but for the people who work there.
We are due to stay in September 2026. I used the online chat facility to request if I could add parking on to our stay. I got speaking to ‘Ryan’ from the front desk who replied in a less than friendly manner stating “It cannot without booking a park and stay reservation. As of right now, the only add-ons we have available at the desk are breakfast, pet stays, and late check-outs. (Fair enough up to this point if that’s the policy, however he continued…) You may want to have the online travel agency this was booked through examine their parking add on features. -Ryan”.
Having worked in hospitality I did not appreciate this snide remark and it has left a sour note ahead of our visit later this year.
We had a terrific experience at Hilton Union Square, San Francisco! It was WONDERFUL from the top hatted doormen, to the concierge desk, great lattes from their Herb Kitchen.....and I loved their pillows! I wouldn't have needed to bring mine this time! BUT THE BEST PART was the food they served at the IBEW Conference dinner! I've gone on several of these trips with my husband, and the 8 people at our table agreed that it was the best food we had had - EVER - at a conference dinner. I'm not much of a meat eater, but I tried the prime rib and went back for seconds! Truth be told, I was able to skip the 3 types of dessert because I had more prime rib, scalloped potatoes, and spinach as my dessert! So did others at my table! Those scalloped potatoes - so creamy! I wish I had some right now! Hats off to all involved! The wait staff was right there to clear your dishes away too! We lingered at our table and were one of the last ones out of the room! THANK YOU!!
I was very pleased with the staff at the time I checked in. They were respectful and had a great attitude.
I really don't like the location of the hotel. It right next to the tenderloin and close to the red light district.

Good water pressure in shower. Instant hot water. So Quiet! no slamming of doors or annoying loud housecleaners. no loud kids or people running up and down halls. Clean bedding! NO NASTY SMELLS! Clean everything thank you!
Ugly dreary old brown depressing carpet all over hotel. Rooms were so tiny. we could not walk around each other we had to take one step at a time to pass each other bed the beds into the bathroom. Lighting was too dim. Bathroom mirror Lights so dim hard to see to apply makeup.
