The staff was super friendly and welcoming and the view of the city from the room was amazing.
The location is not the best. It's literally a few blocks from the Tenderloin neighborhood, which is San Francisco's Skid row. There were doped up homeless people around and near the hotel.
We mainly chose this hotel from the pictures of the fitness center. The fitness center is not the same as the pictures and was missing several pieces of equipment that we saw in the photos.
The room was on the expensive side for it to be near such a rough part of the city.
The room itself needed some cleaning and repairs...the bathroom light switch had brown stains, which looked like dried up blood on it. The sliding door to the bathroom was off the hinge, bathtub had cracks the list goes on. The room was also very dated and old.
I had a fantastic stay at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. If you love a seamless, tech-forward hotel experience, this is the place to be.
What I Loved:
The Hilton App: The contactless check-in was incredibly efficient. I was able to unlock my room door directly with my phone and navigate almost the entire hotel experience straight from the app.
The Amenities: The room was very clean and well-maintained. It has everything you'd expect from a high-quality 4-star hotel: a refrigerator, an iron, a safe, a proper desk, and sturdy furniture. I especially loved the makeup mirror!
Flawless Checkout: Checking out was entirely error-free with no surprise charges on the bill—which is impressive and highly appreciated.
The Service:
Because the app is so good, I barely had to interact with staff. I did pass a housekeeper in the hallway who was incredibly pleasant and offered to assist me. While I didn't need the help (thanks to the app), her warmth was a great touch.
How It Compares:
The hassle-free billing and smooth digital experience alone deserve a 5-star nod. It is a night-and-day difference compared to my past frustrating experiences at the AC Hotel in Sunnyvale and New York-New York in Las Vegas.
I will definitely be back!
Had amazing cocktails concocted by Jun! Surprise us, we said, and we were pleasantly surprised!
The room was just okay. The lobby bar was nice, but the rooftop one was not as active. It had a great view, though. Overall, the value isn't great, though that might just be the city. I wouldn't categorize it as a 4-star hotel.
It feels like the hotel is at an intersection of two different types of neighborhoods. Leaving the hotel on foot to the right, you're very close to Union Square, nice restaurants, and shops.
Going left, however, is a totally different and unpleasant story.
I am from out of town , Chicago and my 4 bartenders were greg,Jun johan and david and they were wonderful. The hospitality felt like i have been living here my whole life. 10/10 i would come back
Tony from engineering is the man! Our issues in our room could not be resolved so he upgraded us to a suite and got us $100 in food/beverage credits as a part of the make it right program!
Wonderful trip to a wonderful hotel. Jun Wang, a fantastic worker for Hilton, made us feel comfortable immediately and helped us so much for our entire stay! We will be back. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for her exceptional, hospitality and kindness!
Jun was excellent….took nice picture
Jun was exceptional. Her service was one of a kinds. She was so personalized. She made sure she checked on me when needed. She has a exceptional personality very outgoing, very selfless..
Jun is an excellent bartender. She was well attuned to our diverse liquor palettes and poured the absolutely necessity of ingredients and ounces !!!
Go see Jun ASAP. And try this Reyka vodka …very smooth !!!
Jun was an excellent bartender. Very attentive and the drinks were awesome
Rip off. No free WiFi. Staff are cold and unwelcoming. Store downstairs sells water for $10 without showing a price tag first. Rooms and amenities are outdated. The air conditioning rattled loudly all night. This place feels like they’ve given up and will tear it down any day now. Go to the Citizen M hotel nearby. Much better for half the price.
La struttura offe molte comodità
A poche decine di metri dalla struttura ci Nino strade in cui stazionano giorno e notte homeless.
Jun was such a pleasure to help guide me and my fiancé. The ambiance was incredible. The fruit drink she made for us was so good! She greeted us with joy & brought us up to the Sky Lounge with enthusiasm. Service was unmatched ! 10/10
The hotel lobby has been updated recently and is absolutely beautiful. All of the hotel staff are amazing but Jun specifically was absolutely amazing, attentive, and welcoming. The drinks at the lobby bar are amazing and the view from Cityscape is spectacular to say the least.
