Will not be back
Pros:

the Breakfast was in a conference room as so was the dinner and the bar was in a hall way. I'm trying not to complain since the hotel is under constructions, but it would have been nice to be told prior to booking.

Cons:

The Hotel was under constructions and was not made aware of this. The elevator was missing a wall tile and was not cleaned, a kitchen knife was on the floor in one of the elevators for 2 days and may still be there, Our room was nice for the exception that it smelled like raw sewer and we reported it that night and maintenance came up and put a chemical down the drains and by the morning it still smelled so bad we were not able to shower. I did report this when checking out and the front desk said they was discount the room by 50% but have not seen that in my bank account. The only transaction is $272.22 that was taken from our bank account. I booked this room for a short getaway for my husbands birthday and was very disappointed of the outcome. I do hope the Hilton keeps its work and does refund the money as they said they would.

Modern, clean hotel in a great location
Pros:

Large comfortable room, beautiful pool area, excellent bar and lounge area and top notch make to order complimentary breakfast. Many restaurant choices within walking distance or a short drive. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Very disappointed !
Cons:

I could not find the entrance to the hotel because of construction! The hotel should have had a notice on my reservation to change the street entrance on my GPS! I drove around for 20 minutes trying to find my way into the hotel then finally parked, got out of my car and walked to the closed entrance to read the sign on the door with the other street name to come in on!

Freundliche Reaktion auf meine Beschwerde im Nachgang.

Cons:

Für den Preis von etwa 205 € pro Nacht absolut nicht angemessen. Baulärm ab 08:00 Uhr, schmutziger Aufzug, lange Wartezeiten und ein insgesamt renovierungsbedürftiger Eindruck. Auch das Zimmer und besonders das Bad waren deutlich abgenutzt. Für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie habe ich wesentlich mehr erwartet.

Disappointing hotel, poor facilities and musky smell.
Pros:

It has a good location.

Cons:

It is not clear. The hotel felt dirty. The room had that horrible musky smell you get in motels. The cost of this hotel is disproportionate to what you get.

Overall a great and warm stay, but please have the option of some personal shampoo/conditioner/soap

Cons:

I don't like the new shampoo/conditioner dispensers. It seems less clean when other's have showered and used/touched those dispensers.

Customer Service Issues!
Pros:

My husband is a LIFETIME DIAMOND member and asked for a complimentary upgrade upon check in for one night. He was told there were no rooms available. When we looked on the website, they had upgrades available.

Austin, who identified himself as the Hilton Manager, told my husband I can’t upgrade you because the upgraded rooms MIGHT be rented out. Austin got very condescending when asked to explain his reasoning. We will never stay at the Waco Hilton downtown ever again. I mean if there employees don’t value lifetime members or Hilton members loyalty to Hilton, why would you stay here.

My husband travels for business and stays at Hilton Hotels over 100 nights per year.

For the record I’ve never left a bad review on Hilton. We don’t expect complimentary upgrades on every stay, we are always very polite and respectful.

I’m going to leave a review on every website i can find, so Hilton members know Austin at Waco Hilton does not value you. It was his attitude that really upset us and the fact that they lied.
