This place is filthy. Everything is dirty; the rooms, the lobby, the elevators, the exterior... We have been here three nights and still haven't head housekeeping empty our trash, refresh towels - we had to ask for new towels and set all the used ones in the hallway with our trash bags. Our room has crusty spots on the carpet that feel like a milkshake was spilled and never cleaned (at least I hope it was a milkshake). At breakfast, four employees were in the way of the line of customers and they sat there chatting and making breakfast while others waited; there was zero concern for guests. I stay at Hilton brand hotels on a regular basis for work and family trips. This is definitely the worst hotel I have stayed at in the past few decades.
Everything
Everything was great
Very clean... comfortable.
They had a hard time activating the room key. Took a while and had customers waiting.
I liked the place. Very nice and clean and the breakfast bar was superb
This is just a minor problem and may I say again it is a minor problem but the coffee machine in my room was missing some of the parts. I was in room 502 and I believe you need a new coffee maker. All in all it was a very pleasant experience except for the idiots throwing chairs in your swimming pool for our enjoyment. Sometimes you just can't go anywhere 🤔🤔
One of the staff members black with dread locs were leaning in hallways . Made me very uncomfortable. I first seen her smoking something outside . Another staff member at the desk always on her phone. My bed sheets had not been changed
Check in was easy, friendly front desk staff. Pool option was great. Complimentary breakfast was substantial.
The AC unit made strange noises all night which made it difficult to go to sleep and even woke us in the night. I meant to report to staff at check out but I forgot. Room 528 We planned to use the pool in the morning but it had to be shocked so it wasn't available.
Location
Missing sheets and pillows for the pull out couch even when requested. The vents were caked with dirt/dust. Mold on the AC unit. The hallway was extremely hot and neighbors were loud late night and early morning.
The toilet was very low. Who in the world put those low toilets in your rooms? Stupid move to save a few cents! And no hand rails near the toilet to help get back off the damn thing.
Bath tub very slippery! No mat or safety surface in the tub. I had to hang on to the grab bar to do any moving. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Plus the grout on the back wall is not properly installed. Water is able to get behind the tub. You are going to have rot back there soon, if not already.
Breakfast: no microwave, coffee not strong, not enough substantial food, unclean in the stairway ( dog vomit) housekeeping service crap! Been an honor member, this worst rest!
I stay at Hampton Inn's all over the East Coast and this is by far the worst experience ever. The hotel is very dated and short staffed. There was one person at the desk when I arrived. The one attendant also had her young child requiring periodic attention. I was never recognized as a Diamond member and had to ask for my waters. Also, they don't provide snacks for Diamond members. When we returned from a concert around 10pm there were 4 or 5 twenty to thirty years old males loitering in the lobby. As senior citizens this made us very uncomfortable.
The breakfast was great and the staff was very nice
Front desk staff was amazing, I needed early check in due to some complications with my travel and they were so friendly and made it happen.
Breakfast was great, room was fine, excellent value.
The ONLY thing that wasn't great was whatever they used to clean the room with was incredibly strong scented, like air freshener had been spilled in the room. It wasn't just a clean smell it was overpowering and just way too much.
The tub dripped every so often I guess due to pressure in the plumbing, but it wasn't a problem really.
cost efficient, overall clean, quiet, friendly staff
fridge did not work, some aspects of room were outdated and could have been cleaner, there was a weird smell coming from the bathroom/ toilet that made the room smell
This was our worst stay at any Hilton property in decades. Trouble began when we arrived at 8pm to check in for a multi-night stay.
There was a line of people in front of us and the clerk was visibly upset. She said even though everyone had reservations, no rooms were available because rooms were not clean. What? How can that be?
Apparently there was still a housekeeper there and after an hour of waiting (until 9pm) we were able to get a room. We had booked a king and this was two queens but we just wanted a room after a long trip. We carry our luggage up and neither door card worked on the door. The lone housekeeper was there and saw us struggling and tried to help. She tried her key and that failed as well. She said “yeah, we’ve been having issues with this lock”. How about getting someone to fix it?
The housekeeper then took us to another room on the floor she had just cleaned and went downstairs with my wife to tell the clerk we were in a new room and needed new keys.
Over our multi-night stay they didn’t have our room number right based on trying to sign onto WiFi and our final folio which listed a room on a different floor we were never on.
Housekeeping missed one of our scheduled cleaning days (they do it every other day but missed that).
This visit was a disaster and we will never stay there again. While eventually the manager compensated us it was a mess. We do not blame the clerk or the housekeeper we saw working all sorts of crazy hours. The hotel is apparently poorly managed and grossly understaffed.
Location in Williamsburg was very convenient. Easy access in/out of the property.
Parking was limited in the front of the hotel. Most of the available for parking was in the rear and the side of the hotel. Did not feel comfortable parking in the back of the hotel. Would have liked more accessibility closer to the front of the hotel.
