I like this hotel overall. Though, as a Hilton, for the price of a Hilton it could be modernized. Little things like USB outlets for charging mean a lot, as most people staying at a Hilton may not bring plugs with them. Things like that.
I stayed there last week trying to catch a very early morning flight the next day. The lobby looks nice, don’t let that deceive you, this is a very old and dated hotel. The best thing I can say about it is they had a nice selection of pillows on the bed.
The room was extremely hot when I walked in. The thermostat was set on 50 unfortunately the temperature was nowhere near that. So I immediately called the front desk and asked to be switched. The lady that answered said she would have someone come from engineering to check the air conditioner. This did happen within 30 . The gentleman who checked it said that he fixed it and it should cool off soon. Unfortunately, throughout the entire night, the temperature only went down 1°. It was way too hot to sleep.
After looking into the tub shower combination, I decided not to take a shower because the tub looked disgusting.
I am a Hilton Honors member and I will definitely be choosing a different Hilton property from now on when in this area.
The location and it had free airport shuttle. Also, the maintenance guy was very nice.
I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The room had no refrigerator or microwave, and both the ice machine on our floor and the floor below were out of order. The bathroom sink leaked constantly, leaving water everywhere, and the room was freezing. No matter how high I adjusted the thermostat, the system continued blowing cold air.
The shower was another issue—the water became dangerously hot, making it difficult to use safely. The towels were dingy and did not appear to be up to the cleanliness standards I would expect. To make matters worse, when I turned on the shower, a message appeared on the mirror, which made it very clear that the mirror had not been properly cleaned from the previous guest.
I was also surprised to be charged $20 per day for parking despite being a paying hotel guest.
Any one of these issues might have been understandable on its own, but having all of them during the same stay made the overall experience extremely disappointing. I chose Hilton because I expected a certain level of comfort, cleanliness, and quality, and unfortunately, this stay did not come close to meeting those expectations. This was 100% not the Hilton quality I expected or paid for.
Outdated room. Loudest air conditioner I have ever heard. Confusing layout
This review is for restaurant only...World's Away inside the Hilton St. Louis Airport. This are amazing. Accommodated large group, allowed individual bills, moved tables and chairs for group size, and food was phenomenal. Everyone enjoyed it. We ended up eating there several times during our stay.
I am a Hilton Diamond for life member. I stay at Hilton properties more than my own home. This property is a disappointment at best. You should give this a miss if you have a choice. It is old and in desperate need of a refresh or at least a good cleaning.
The room I booked was not available as they did not have staff to clean it. It is only for one night so I decided to let that go. Instead of a complimentary upgrade they put me in a lesser room that is not clean.
Furthermore the AC is struggling to cool the room. I alerted the front desk but they did not offer a fix.
Awful. Does not pick up in timely fashion. Waited 40 minutes at airport & had to call Hilton and told couple minutes, it was another 10 minutes. Then driver made excuses. We were the first passengers waiting then made us step aside to bring on others first.
This review is based only on the poor shuttle experience.
Our flight was delayed due to weather so we ended up landing at 2:30 in the morning. Even though the shuttle is supposed to run every 30 minutes, we were concerned since flights don’t normally land that late and started calling the numbers on the parking flyer they gave us but there was no answer. They finally answered their phone around 4 and sent the shuttle for us, so we ended up standing outside the airport for about an hour and a half in the middle of the night.
After leaving us stranded and pretty much throwing our suitcase down the stairs of the shuttle bus, the driver had the nerve to request a tip.
Had a wonderful time. Very clean rooms. Excellent, knowledgeable staff. No outside noise. Within walking distance to attractions and entertainment. Outstanding variety of eating places. Busses are close for the longer trips around. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Niagara Falls, Canada.
To preface this awful review, my family only stays at Hilton’s
1. The rooms are so outdated
2. The rooms were filthy
3. No trash can ANYWHERE throughout the hotel, only outside
4. Toilets don’t flush
5. Shower doesn’t drain and the caulk had bugs coming out of it
6. The room was NOT cleaned once in our 4 day stay
7. Our door “ran out of battery” and had to bring someone at 10:30 at night to fix it.. twice
8. The pool was foggy and smelled like urine
9. No fridge, microwave, or trash cans in the rooms
10. Flies in the toilet and spider eggs in the stairwell
You’re only paying $200 a night for the fact that it’s across the street from the airport. If I were you go to the hotel next door it was built a year ago and is MUCH cleaner than this shack
I am deeply disappointed by both the Hilton St. Louis Airport staff and Hilton Corporate. After questioning a non-disclosed $20 parking fee, the front desk agent, Jasmine, unhelpfully directed me to my booking platform. While my husband and I were deciding how to proceed, a second agent, "Cat," took it upon herself to cancel our reservation without our consent.
I contacted Hilton Corporate immediately to resolve the issue. The corporate representative, Mario, called the front desk but chose to blindly accept Cat's fabricated story that I was being disruptive. Mario then informed me I was not welcome at the property based on this lie. Furthermore, Mario refused to log a formal complaint or honor my Hilton Honors status simply because the room was booked via a third party. To have a local agent cancel a room out of spite is bad enough, but to have a corporate representative refuse to document the incident is a complete failure of customer service.
The facilities were good, staff attentive and food good
The bed was like the Grabd Canyon, we got very little sleep because we constantly fell into the crater in the Center of the bed ☹️
We were locked out of our room multiple times, asked the front desk for help, and instead, she made us show bank statements to prove we were billed already & supposed to be at the hotel. She still didn't believe us and tried to charge us again to get back into the room. Eventually, the other woman told her we had been there, so she looked at the computer, found us, and did not even apologize. Absolutely ridiculous.
The night worker did an amazing job, Zach
Rooms were so outdated, hallway reeked of weed, bathroom toilet busted, door wouldn't shut, huge gap between room door and floor(that was at an angle even) For almost $200 a night for 3 rooms, PLUS had to pay for parking, I won't stay there again
