Location & room size.
No microwave in the room, no couch and the $17 parking fee is ridiculous
Hotel is not up to Marriott standards. The property is in need of an update. The pool is pretty sad. You can't see the bottom of the pool the water is so cloudy. The tile on the edge is falling apart and has a thick film of scum all around it. The really sad thing is that they host kids swim lessons. The rooms need updating, the carpet has big cuts in it and is well worn. The furniture is pretty used up but there is a refrigerator in the room. The bar prices are like they are a high end Marriott, $23+ for liquor. The restaurant is ok, but pricy. The staff are all very nice and go out of their way to assist you. At one time, there was a Champs Bar on the front of the hotel but those all closed before covid and they still have not replaced it.
Location
Run down- needs renovations
The basics of this hotel are fine. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. However, this hotel is badly in need of a renovation. Our room did not have a desk lamp and there were no modern charging ports in the room.
Rooms were clean
WiFi is terrible. Customer service is also terrible
Friendly receptionist
Room booked online was not what we ended up with due to the hotel being "overbooked" so I had to sleep on the floor with my daughter. The first room receptionist gave us was a dirty room (not cleaned yet).
It was clean
Elevator to pool was broke.
We not kid friendly.
The shuttle driver Ahad did a great job. He was on time picking me up when needed. Please give this man a Well-deserved raise. He's an asset to your team.
Organised an event in the ballroom at this hotel last week. From start to finish the staff at the Hotel were brilliant, attentive and understanding. The food was brilliant although the service in the restaurant itself in combination with the bar was very slow. There is one BIG drawback when you organise an event in this hotel. For electricity you have to go through Encore (the in-house AV company). They are arrogant, non-cooperative and extremely expensive! Even if you get an outside AV company you have to go through them to get the electricity and AGAIN they will (over)charge you for it - stupid thing is they make that threat as well! We brought this to the attention of the management of the Hotel but to no avail - staff telling you that our concerns are relayed to the Executive Leadership but when the General Manager came over with his hands in his pockets and shirt open (call me old-fashioned but you would have expected that at least he would be wearing a tie) he was not aware of any issues. He listened to what the Encore representative had to say in the end and walked out again!!! By the way - the Hotel also charge a service charge on whatever Encore charges you - so they benefit as well....
