Nothing
I booked a 3 night stay here as my husband was in a nearby hospital. The Hampton had discounted rates for hospital stay family but I opted for a “better stay”. I can’t say that was my experience.
I would first like to say that the staff was very helpful, friendly and responsive to my request. My first room had large areas of peeling paint on the shower ceiling. I asked for a room change and the staff was very accommodating. Unfortunately the second room has some minor issues as well. The shower drips continuously , the shower gel container was empty and the sink drain is barely open.
I used the pool on the first morning of my stay and found it dirty. Sand and debris on the pool floor and the bumpers surrounding the pool are black. There seems to be a general lack of maintenance in this older hotel.
My room was clean although the only room amenity is a small bar of hand soap along with wall containers of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I expected more from a Doubletree.
The breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was fine and both the coffee snd the staff are very good.
I've been staying at doubletree for over 10 years now. I visit the the city twice every year and I stay here every time for over a week. Its not as clean as it should be. even after the maids leave there are tiny hair left around the sink area. The Ac vents were full of dust. The car vent in the bathroom was also loaded with dust balls. I caught a cleaning lady refold the dirty towels and put them back on the rack. They dont change bedsheets unless you tell them comforters also smelled bad. I guess Its time for me to find another hotel.
Very kind staff, very clean, close to stores and dining options.
N/A
First off the staff obviously takes things left behind before actually checking or waiting to see if guests call for them. We accidentally left expensive headphones in a drawer and called the same day we checked out and they wouldn’t even look. We called a total of four times and got different excuses everytime. They were there they didn’t just disappear. We were there three days and nobody came in to clean or take the trash out the entire time.
