I have been coming to the Hilton Addis Ababa since 2003. During that time, I have lived and worked in Ethiopia in both the tourism and humanitarian sectors, and although I now live in Europe, I still return to Addis every year. Staying at the Hilton has always been a special part of those visits, and over the years I have come to know many of the wonderful concierge, spa, health club, and other staff members, some for well over a decade.

During my most recent stay, I experienced a matter that required management attention. The General Manager and his team handled the situation with professionalism, respect, and genuine courtesy. The issue was addressed through a constructive and polite dialogue, and I felt genuinely listened to as a guest.

Having worked in tourism and hospitality for ten years earlier in my career, I strongly believe that guests have a responsibility to approach any concerns with respect toward staff and management. Throughout this process, I made every effort to communicate my concerns respectfully, and that respect was fully reciprocated.

Hilton Addis Ababa remains a hotel with a long-standing tradition and a team of dedicated professionals who clearly care about their guests. It continues to offer a welcoming and comfortable environment that feels like a green oasis in the city.

I highly recommend the Hilton Addis Ababa. Whether for an overnight stay or a day visit, it consistently delivers friendly and professional hospitality. Even as Addis Ababa continues to grow and new hotel options emerge, the Hilton will remain my hotel of choice.

I had a wonderful stay at Hilton Addis Ababa. The staff were exceptionally friendly and supportive, especially Ana H., Rahel, Antner, Tamir, and Tolani. They helped coordinate local transport during my stay and consistently made sure I received excellent service. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made my experience truly enjoyable.

The staff were amazing the old traditional hotel should please never change.

We are very familiar with the Hilton Addis Ababa hotel having stayed there 8-10 times. We have only had a pleasant experience and what we appreciate about the hotel the most is the unbelievable kindness of the entire staff. Such friendly and helpful people who provide professionally any reasonable request.

It is hard to single out staff members, but when I was there on business this month I would like to extend my appreciation to Rahel, Anteneh, Mesert, Tedy, Lesan, and Tolani. In addition to these individuals, the service that we received during breakfast and the evening buffet was excellent. My wife shames me by challenging me to be more Ethiopian. I agree, such kind and helpful people who assist others joyfully. I can learn a great from their behaviour and maybe save my marriage🤣.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone at Hilton Addis Ababa for making my recent stay so enjoyable. It's not every day you come across a team that seems to genuinely care about their guests—and I really hope this feedback reaches the people who made it happen.

From the very start, the booking process was a breeze, thanks to Reservation Agents Nardos Tesfaye and Tarikea Kaleb. They were super proactive with updates and made everything feel smooth and stress-free, which I really appreciated.

When I arrived on June 13th, I was greeted by a lovely receptionist (so sorry, I didn't catch her name!) whose warm, cheerful energy was exactly what I needed after a long trip. That great first impression carried right through my stay, and so much of that was down to Antenea Diriba (Receptionist) and Tilahun Multa (Front Office Supervisor), who made me feel genuinely at home. Hanna Feyissa and Rachel Edale from Guest Relations were also incredibly attentive and clearly care about making guests feel looked after. And a big shout-out to Tolani Kisi (Front Office Manager) for keeping everything running so seamlessly behind the scenes, as well as Tamiremariam Betemarim for her consistently professional and efficient help.

The concierge team were absolute stars too—Head Concierge Dawit Negussie and his team, Tadesse Fikru, Getahun Fikeru, and Semeneh Teketel, went above and beyond with their support, and I'm really grateful.

Honestly, every single interaction I had felt genuine and thoughtful. The team here is what makes this hotel special, full stop. Every staff member I met was warm, attentive, and happy to help—and that's what turns a regular trip into a genuinely memorable one.

If I had to mention one small area for improvement (and I only say this because everything else was so good), some of the roo

I would like to take this message to the service and front office management team. I have been a Hilton Client since childhood. On this particular outing I had the privilege to be served by Fibergas (waiter). I just wish you had more of him. He was a professional with an impeccable service

Ich bin jetzt schon oft im Hilton Addis Abeba gewesen. War wie erwartet wunderbar. Die Lage ist einmalig, die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Dieses Mal hat mich aber die Guest Relation Dame extremst positiv beeindruckt. Rahel, eine kompetente, sehr freundliche, warmherzige junge Dame, die mich sehr willkommen gefühlt hat lassen. Jederzeit ansprechbar und immer mit einem Lächeln unterwegs. Sie ist mein Highlight dieses Aufenthalts im Hotel gewesen.
Zusätzlich muss ich auch Genet, die Dame, die mein Zimmer (1014) jeden Tag sauber gemacht hat erwähnen.
Sie ist ebenfalls eine sehr freundliche, herzliche, hilfsbereite und bescheidene Dame, die mich immer mit einem Lächeln
begrüßt hat und fragte, ob ich noch etwas brauche. Sie hat mein Zimmer immer wunderbar hinterlassen, es war immer wieder eine Freude ins Zimmer zurückzukommen.
Ich möchte aber auch die freundlichen Herren der Concierge erwähnen. Egal wer gerade Dienst hatte - was für freundliche Herren, wir wurden auch immer wieder mit einem Lächeln und netten Worte begrüßt.

I had a great 2 week stay at Hilton Addis Ababa, and the highlight of my experience was definitely the food. Chef Ismail did an exceptional job with every meal. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with a great mix of local Ethiopian cuisine and international options. Every meal felt special, and the hospitality from the restaurant staff made the dining experience even better. I highly recommend Hilton Addis Ababa to anyone looking for excellent service and outstanding food in Addis Ababa.

The pool area and the grounds are beautiful, as is the breakfast terrace that overlooks them.
There is also a nice sense of history about the place.
Room decor was nice, modern yet warm and cosy.

The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. I can only describe it as haggard all round.
