Great stay in a central location. Great for UT, Capital building, concert venues.
Pros:

Hotel was centrally located with a short walk to our evening destination, Moody Amphitheater, about a 15 minute easy walk to and from. Hotel was nice, modern and clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Dining staff at breakfast was great and service was great. Breakfast food was great, better than other hotels I've stayed in. Overall great stay and would recommend if you are attending shows at the Moody Amphitheater and for Moody Center which isn't much further.

Cons:

The elevator was very slow, especially coming into the garage. I believe we waited for 15 minutes for the elevator to arrive down to the garage upon arrival. We were told there were other elevators and directed to those; they were located through the staff doors and used by the staff, the whole situation was a bit bizarre and like a rabbit warren maze through the back to get to said elevators. The parking garage is very, very tight, wouldn't recommend it for large vehicles.

Doubletree Suites-Austin -UT & Capital
Pros:

All suites with A/C that works well. Convenient to. Univ.of Texas Art. Gallery. and only a few restaurants. Long walk or short Lyft or Uber ride to Downtown restaurants. I enjoyed LBJ Museum but it is too long a walk from this hotel. No convenient Coffee shops but Arturo’s Breakfast & Lunch restaurant is great and in walking distance. No vending in hotel and snack area next to front desk is very limited. Small bathrooms with fixed shower head and hard to operate cold/hot control.

I would still come back. The people behind the front desk were courteous, professional & friendly.
Pros:

Upscale, clean, affordable, friendly, comfortable, great location.

Cons:

There is nothing negative except it took 2 hours to get an item we left due to housekeeping in a meeting & no one would get our item , even though they had located it.

Nice front staff and breakfast. Location is not near anything other the University of Texas.
Pros:

Free breakfast. Bathroom was nice and clean. All rooms are suites.

Cons:

Many lights burned out in the room. Too dark in my rooms.Front desk staff confused using new software.

The staff was exceptionally accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious.

Cons:

Parking. There were no parking spaces available in the parking garage. We had to park in a public parking garage which was across and down the street.
The parking spaces in the hotel parking garage are very compact and the turns are extremely tight. The hotel no longer offers valet parking.

There was no liquid dish washing soap in the kitchen so no way to truly wash your dishes prior to putting them in the automatic dishwasher - or even to clean a dish prior to using it for the first time.
