Pros:

Lovely outdoor heated pool

Cons:

Was not a pleasant experience trying to order drinks in the bar. It felt like we were annoying the staff member and no option to start a tab was given.

Unlikely to return
Pros:

Good parking. Quiet location. Spa pool was clean and warm.

Cons:

Carpet in room very worn and ridged. This caused me to trip when walking on it during the night, injuring my ankle.

Pros:

We love staying at the copthorne for our annual rotorua marathon weekend. The price is perfect for us and its nice and quiet.

Cons:

Its a bit tired in parts. The pool looks moldy on the bottom. But that doesnt bother us.

Also plug for the baths would be great! We did ask and one was found but it did seem hard to come.by.

Pros:

Place look very old. Doesn’t looks like a hotel. More likely is a motel , when we check in receptionists was not friendly. Bathroom shower broken. Carpet looks very old and dirty.

Enjoyed our stay but don't eat there
Pros:

We stayed for 3 nights. The pros: the rooms were clean, the beds were very comfy, the staff are friendly and helpful, plenty of free parking, good location (equidistant from the restaurant district and the Redwoods). The pool and hot tubs were good. The cons: it looks quite worn, the buffet breakfast was terrible (cold, basic, no atmosphere) and the lounge area had no atmosphere at all. We had food and beverage credit and didn't spend all of it as it wasn't appealing at all. On balance we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again - we don't like eating at hotels anyway.
