Would have been great but...

It's a great location and the hotel itself is lovely. The staff are great, and they tried hard to resolve my issue (I can't imagine the problem I had was their fault!)

Cons:

I had booked a king room, because I wanted a king size bed (it was literally the reason I booked the hotel). When checked in, I quickly realised I'd been given a double room. Whilst this was (eventually) resolved, the whole situation was not ideal and created a stressful start. The hotel claimed they'd upgraded me to a garden view room, but I find it really bizarre that they'd have thought I'd have been happy with a double when I paid for a king. The difference in the room sizes and bed sizes was vast as well. A shame, as it was certainly not cheap for a one night stay and definitely not what I expect after having spent a lot of money somewhere.

Location is absolutely unbeatable, cannot be more central. Located in nice 19th century building. It is not new, some wear and tear is visible, but it has aged gracefully, clean and well maintained.
Staff is professional and very helpful, there was an issue with AC in my room and they promptly moved me to another one, larger and nicer. Breakfast was very good, but same selection of food without noticeable variations was offered every day.
