ARC Hotel, Washington DC, Series by Marriott

The absolute WORST Marriott hotel in the country- DO NOT STAY THERE!

Location and staff were incredible

This is a small, vintage boutique like hotel, located just blocks from EVERYTHING: shopping, public transit, groceries, pharmacies, etc. I and my friend are seniors, and he with some mobility cautions, and we were able to walk to all of these places (there are also spots & readily available places where u can sit to catch a breath). The rooms are not contemporary, but well kept, up to date, very clean & comfortable. BUT...THE best things about our whole visit were KOSTA (the Doorman,) and TRAVIS (Front Desk). They were SOOO NICE, accommodating and just plain fun! They made us feel so welcome & important, no matter how many questions we had, or how many times we asked them! 🤭😁 They gave us detailed directions, Kosta insisted on escorting us to our room and making sure we got settled & had all we needed,) and Travis was/is a wealth of knowledge about,not only DC & the surrounding areas, but current events & historical tidbits! They made us want to hurry back so we could share our adventures with them! Kosta & Travis are who we'll be looking for when we visit DC again! And, while they were who we associated more, the ENTIRE staff at the ARC were just top notch, from the room staff to front desk & lobby. I HIGHLY recommend this cute, neighborhood hotel.

I stayed at the ARC Hotel while in DC for business (but came in town a day early to walk around the DC sites as it has been 10 years since I’ve been to town).

The hotel was very clean. Some reviews comment the rooms are small, but it is a historic building and truly a nice area of town to stay. I was able to take work meetings in this room, loving the quiet view of the DC historic tree lined street below. The hotel had the feel of being in DC without the feel of being in a big city.

I was able to walk to a grocery, coffee cafe, and walked easily to the Lincoln memorial to start my journey around the national mall. Yes, other reviewers commented negatively on the hotel market and lack of restaurant however, there are so many options close by.

Travis was the ARC Hotel manager, I believe. If not, he should be because he was energetic, professional and really took pride in his work. He greeted me and other customers asking if we were having a good stay and he truly wanted to ensure our stay was a positive one. I expect one day he will rise to larger hotels, advancing his career. His dress and demeanor exemplified his pride in his work.

The front desk staff was fantastic! Every time I came by they greeted me happily and they also took pride in their work. they worked very efficiently to check in multiple customers in a timely manner.

The fitness center was small and simple but you could definitely figure out a workout.

The ARC Hotel was quaint, adorable, clean and functioned perfectly for my trip to DC. The staff was simply wonderful! The hotel was clean and charming and really gave me that DC feel.

ruime slaapkamer en groot bed, airco (die wel 's nachts wel moesten afzetten wegens te veel lawaai), minikoelkast, voldoende kasten. Op wandelafstand van the waterfront met verschillende eetgelegenheden. Dicht bij metro. Vlak bij de metro een whool foodmarket.

It is wonderful close by for walking just about 20 min walk to White House! And all that DC HAS TO OFFER! They are friendly accommodating and truly happy you are in their hotel! It's so quiet and quant ! I love it!
