Pros:

Bed comfortable and clean. It was surprisingly quiet once the evening traffic stopped.

Cons:

The hotel is very rundown now. I used it as a venue many years ago for corporate workshops and it has changed a lot. Shower curtain didn't reach top of bath so floor completely flooded after a shower. Fixtures hanging off walls. Cupboard doors hanging at angles due to hinges needing adjusting. Carpets wrinkled and not flat to floor any more. Whole place needs a makeover. A hour or two of DIY maintenance would make the rooms way better. They are shabby.

Pros:

The location is great, staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The street lights are visible and the blind doesn’t cover the window so the room is too light for sleeping. The fridge was very noisy, the lights and power switches weren’t easily accessible. But overall it meets the price you pay for it.

Pros:

After we changed rooms there was more space and not the intoxicating smell of cleaning products.
Bed was comfy.
Location was good.
Relatively cheap.

Cons:

First room had bad layout and intoxicating smell of cleaning products. Could not stay in that room.
2nd room ws better - but we later found fresh blood left on the toilet seat.

We were very grateful for the price of the hotel and the friendly staff.
Pros:

We were able to store our luggage before our check in time. Staff was very nice and gave recommendations and helped accommodate our needs.

Cons:

The lock on the bathroom door didn’t work. We did find a cockroach in our room. Some aspects of the hotel seemed outdated.

It's ok for one night, its location and cost being the more important factors
Pros:

We have always liked this hotel for its proximity to the CBD, and its prices have come down considerably. Quick and easy check-in.

Cons:

Not a fan of the $25 per day parking charge, although I am aware that many hotels do likewise and often charge more. The room was very small, ok for one night though. Shower in bath, not a fan of that either. Blinds do not shut out the outside light very well. When room door is opened, bedside table is just 2-3 inches away. Looks like the bed has been moved to accommodate a second bedside table, and so one light switch is not easy to get to, being behind the bed.

It was fine for the price
Pros:

Location for us was great as we were going to the ferry the next morning which was only 10 min drive.

Cons:

We were told we weren’t allowed to park on in the road side public parking. When asked why we were told because « it wasn’t allowed because the hotel gets complaints ». There was also no one at reception at 7am when we left in the am to check out, which is fine but there was no return key box so we left the key on the desk.

Cons:

When using lift on my own (I have a pacemaker)and there must have been some magnetic or electrical surges as I had a massive dizzy spellr after putting my finger on ground button from fourth floor Couldn't stand up On ground floor lady waiting get in lift starting to abuse me telling me to get out I couldn't stand with out leaning on something so zi attempted to walk to seat opposite and fell over
.she helped me to seat and apopgised After resting came right and walked into town
No other reason for that to happen have put it down to magnetic or electoral surges in lift

A good value for money stay in a good location.
Pros:

The rooms were a generous size. The bed was large and comfortable. The location was good with an easy walk into town and plenty of good eateries close by.

Cons:

Overall it is maybe a little old fashioned and could do with a tidy up and some new decor.
