The hotel was clean and the staff was so friendly.

Upon check out, the price was not the same as to what booking.com stated . I am waiting for someone for the hotel to call me about it. I tried calling booking.com but I can’t get through.
Staff/personnel very nice and pleasant. Bed very comfortable. Room clean. Breakfast was very acceptable. Welcome bar event was nice. Bartender from Hawaii was super nice, sorry I forget his name.
Fridge was on floor, very awkward to access. Fridge was poor quality, froze some of my food that had to be discarded as not edible after that. Carpet was worn, ugly and dirty looking but it was "clean" or vacuumed.

The breakfast was good.
After 20hours travel when we arrived midnight with 3 small children they informed us at check in that the room we booked is not available anymore. They have offered a different one where we had to sleep in 1 bed and a sofa. They were even expecting from us to make our bed on the sofa bed.
Next morning the manager was cooperative and gave a discount but money couldn’t cover the bad experience we had.
Visiting this hotel twice in a month for two nights each for work gave me a good idea of what it is, and truthfully it's an above average place to stay for a work trip. The people working at the front desk are nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the gym is serviceable. Additionally, the morning breakfast is more than ample and the location is great for all things Schaumburg. Why not the 5th star, both times I visited, the bartender at the hotel sponsored happy hour had a horrible attitude. It's o they didn't want to be there and certainly didn't want to be a bartender serving people. Anyhow, solid choice for a few nights in the area.
