Location near the sea planes was nice as we love small planes! Buffett breakfast was very good, but a bit pricey. The shuttle downtown was great!
The cost was extremely high, compared to what we got. The rooms are ok, the staff was pretty good, but the price was insanely high for what we got, but that’s Alaska I guess.

Need some help-
The room was old and dated and smelled like a wet dog. I have stayed here many times over the last 8 years and am a millennial member, but it seems like they are just concerned about volume and not quality.These rooms need to be remodeled. Will not stay here again at these prices until this gets fixed. They can keep screwing the unsuspecting tourist as I am not one of them. Thank - god for the bar!!!

Overall, the property is rundown and in disrepair and they would not honor the meal plan on our reservation because it was made through Booking instead of directly with them. Specifically, the restaurant staff was standing around playing with their phones, the breakfast buffet was out of food an hour before closing time, when they resupplied the buffet the food was inedible, service in the bar and restaurant was exceptionally slow, on Saturday afternoon half of the food and drink items on the menu were not available, when we checked out early the night clerk was just plain surly and complained to me that she needed help and was tired because she had been up all night. Seriously, DO NOT STAY HERE.

Everything was excellent. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and especially liked the unique location by the lake.
We were excited to stay by the lake where the small floatplanes take off and land, and it was actually very interesting to watch. However, we didn’t realize that planes would be taking off and landing every few minutes and that they could be quite loud. This is not really the hotel’s fault, but if you are looking for a very quiet place to stay, being next to the floatplane lake may not be the best choice.
The location is great the hotel is terrible. The restaurant is beyond terrible. Food is bad and the service is worse.
