The hotel offers a convenient shuttle to the airport and to downtown anchorage, and the restaurant staff were helpful about getting gluten free meals
A very expensive hotel that is nevertheless fairly dilapidated. Food at the restaurant is pretty average
The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable! Location was great too.
Breakfast was listed as $15 on booking.com but our party of 6 had a bill of $168 for the breakfast buffet.
The hotel was beautiful. The room was spacious and clean. . It was on Lake Hood. We were able to dine outside for dinner and watch the seaplanes land and take off. The breakfast buffet was decent.
We did not have a view from our room.
I love the location been there before
Your staff on duty when we checked in was terrible, this is suppose to be a friendly experience the lady who checked us in was terrible! You might want to figure out who she was! I was furious. If I had been only me I would have walked out! I have stayed there before but she was terrible
I had an absolutely horrible experience with a booking at The Lakefront Anchorage. I reserved the room through super.com, but when I arrived at 1:00 a.m., the hotel could not find my reservation. The staff told me they could see the reservation in an email but could not find it in their system, so they refused to check me in.
I tried contacting super.com’s customer support, but I could not reach a live representative for nearly an hour. With no other option that late at night, I had to pay the hotel $798.56 for the room. The hotel promised to refund the charge once it confirmed my reservation. I even called the hotel while I was on my cruise, but the issue was never resolved.
In total, I paid more than $1,000 for a one-night stay. I am still disputing the charge with my credit card company today. This entire experience was stressful, expensive, and completely unacceptable.
Next to water-airport. Dining room food was good.
It’s old and tired and in need of a a major refresh. Front desk staffing is lacking so if there’s more than one or two needing assistance, you’ll have a wait to get serviced and even then attentiveness is lacking.
Hyvä palvelu late check in ja kyyti lentokentältä sujui hyvin
Ei syytä
Everything and everyone was wonderful.
There wasn't anything not to like. Would return without hesitation..
I reserved 3 deluxe King rooms a month prior to arrival. Once arriving at the hotel. We were told all deluxe king rooms were sold out. We were given rooms with queen beds. What’s the point of booking and making prior reservations for a select room if the hotel is going to sale those out ahead of your arrival!
Don’t stay here with high expectations. It was fine for 1 night after a late arrival; but I personally wouldn’t want to spend more time at the property. The location was convenient, the breakfast was good, there was an incredibly helpful maintenance employee and very kind lady at the front desk that we appreciated.
The property is very “worn” and outdated. The cleanliness was questionable. Prior to arriving, I called the property regarding the airport shuttle. I was instructed to call the property when we arrive and they will send the shuttle. We called several times and no one picked up the phone. We also looked for shuttle ( per the description on either the website or our confirmation email). We didn’t see either. We ended up paying for an Uber; it wasn’t an issue of the money, but more-so the inconvenience after a long travel day.
Legitimately one of the worst value for money hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve been in seedy hotels in Cincinnati. For the price, this is an absolute steal- meaning the owners of this hotel are stealing your money if you stay here.
1. The smell in the hotel rotated from smoke from cigarettes to urine depending on the time of day
2. Our room had crusty stains behind the toilet, a non functioning window which is stuck in the open position (did I mention we are next to the airport so those 7am low flying aircraft make for a great alarm clock), there is no cleaning service unless you specifically ask for it, the room is mind bogglingly hot for it being in Alaska and the window AC units only seem to spit out lukewarm air. The pillows were decent though.
3. The hallways are, not a lie, straight out of the back rooms or the shining. A labyrinth of twists and turns on fifty year old carpet that hasn’t been cleaned since Reagan was in office awaits you on your stay. Just try to get a room near the elevator to save yourself ten minutes of walking the hallways and experiencing the smell that lingers from each fiber if the carpet.
Do not stay here.
Very tired hotel. Carpets leading to the bar not good nor clean. Bedroom tired, furniture bashed about. Room and bed ok but warning light on the air conditioning saying it needed filter cleaned. Basin soap dispenser empty or not working. Charging points by bed not working. However, room clean and bed comfortable.
Whole menu typical American fayre and not up to much. Breakfast buffet very poor for the price. Nice helpful staff but serious money needs to be spent to smarten this establishment. The only thing going for this hotel is location. Most pleased it was just one night
Man, what a let down this place was.
Dominik checked us in on arrival, and was not even a little hospitable. Seemed very annoyed to have to assist us, and was very short with us when we asked any questions.
The hotel is very old and dirty, and not in a “charming vintage” sort of way.
But hey- it’s on a lake… so it has that going for it…
El estilo,la comodidad,la limpieza y que las habitaciones eran calentitas
Que el restaurante tuviera las puertas abiertas porq aunq sea verano hacía fresquito
