A great, clean hotel with wonderful staff and a unique lakeside location — just be prepared for freq
Pros:

Everything was excellent. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and especially liked the unique location by the lake.

Cons:

We were excited to stay by the lake where the small floatplanes take off and land, and it was actually very interesting to watch. However, we didn’t realize that planes would be taking off and landing every few minutes and that they could be quite loud. This is not really the hotel’s fault, but if you are looking for a very quiet place to stay, being next to the floatplane lake may not be the best choice.

Soggiorno deludente
Pros:

Niente. Solo la navetta gratuita per l'aeroporto

Cons:

The "resort" of last resort
Pros:

Please do not fall for the false advertising of this horrendous motel. I would rather sleep in my car than be subjected to the rude staff and dilapidated room again. The filthy carpet, detached floorboards, and dirty windows will leave you questioning your health in the following days. I recommend wearing your shoes inside inside the room because mere socks won't protect you. This motel has achieved the pinnacle of cheapness as I discovered that when using one of the provided mugs for coffee, it was in fact a broken mug that had been GLUED BACK TOGETHER. How much is a mug ordered in bulk, 20 cents? If you value your health, choose other lodgings.

Major disappointment
Pros:

I really hate to write negative reviews but to have others avoid the disappointment we experienced I am. I really can’t find anything good to say. We arrived early and paid $50 for early check in for our “deluxe” room. When we looked at our “lake” view it actually overlooked the back door and garbage bins. We asked for a new room with a lake view. One floor up , forgot to mention, The elevators were out of order, next room, same view with a sliver of the lake. Barn door to bathroom was broken, even though it had just been “fixed”. Room smelled like a wet dog. Air conditioner! Filter light was on to be cleaned. Yuck! Hallway carpeting was disgustingly dirty. We were booked for three nights and could barely stand one night. Left for a better hotel. Only redemption was I asked for $50 refund for early check in that we never got. I am not a high maintenance traveler, but this was not a place I could stay at. Could be called lakefront bar and grill but not a lakefront hotel. Seaplanes were fun to watch but bar was out of almost all tap beers. Hello, you’re a bar! Highway view hotel should be the name! Sorry, but clean it up.

The Good and Bad
Pros:

The Good:
The bed was comfortable, everything was clean and all was quiet at night facing the lake.  The room had plenty of outlets for charging and at the desk for a laptop.  There was a safe and mini fridge in the room.  Shuttle from the airport was easy and quick.  The heating unit looked decent, but being summer we used the small, marginal window AC unit.  The bathroom was updated and carpeting in the room looked new.  Buffet breakfast in the morning was good with friendly service.

The Bad:
We had a 1st floor lakeside room, but virtually all rooms are behind lakeside houses with almost no view, except maybe on the 4th floor.  There wasn't a trail going around the lake, so we didn't go far.  There isn't a gym or pool and swimming in the lake isn't a good option. The dresser, desk and nightstand were tired, but functional. The hotel had a musty odor.  The window in the room opened OK, but I couldn't get it closed without taking off the screen and using my fingertips to pull in the last couple of inches to close it.

Meh
Pros:

We were warned it was average and it is below average. Run down rooms. Ridiculous buffet for $28. At front desk overheard a man say he made a reservation a year ago and they had no room for him. Location is interesting by the Lake Hood sea base. Decent shuttle service.

NEVER AGAIN! Overpriced, Rude service and Not Recommended! Not really a Lakefront hotel
Pros:

SO Overpriced for what you get! Extremely disappointing Hotel and with Horrible service. Checking in was a nightmare and the agent was not helpful, rude, purposely slow and ignored people standing in line (for the 2nd and 3rd times) and her work area was dirty and lots of "stuff" spread every where. Several people were very unhappy as we stood in line for the 2nd or 3rd times. No early rooms, unless you wanted to pay $100.00. I was told when I booked the room 4 months earlier, if rooms were available before check in time they would be assigned out. NOT TRUE!

The view of the lake is limited to the restaurants and maybe only a handful of room with a lake view if that!

The hotel portion is set back from the lake with houses in front of it and it L turns towards the street. Lots of road noise. The individual room AC unit had a RED dirty air filter on the AC, so we chose to open the window. The rooms needed a good vacuuming. The hotel is very tired and well used and needs to be updated with new furniture and carpet and lightening.

One of the elevators stopped working while we were there and we were on the 4th floor. Luckily they got it working again.

The Dinner service: the food was good, but the service was HORRIBLE! Our waitress was so rude! We asked that the table be washed as there was sticky food on the table and asked for water to start with. When I thanked her we received a GTH look! After a while with no service, my husband asked for water again, and daggers came from her eyes. After getting water and taking our order, she never came back so we only ordered one drink from the bar. We had to flag her down for the check.

Morning and noon servers were pleasant and service was good.

I would just stop by to eat and watch the planes. Hotel is a disappointment!
Pros:

The location and restaurant are great. The rooms are not good and the entire floor we were on smelled like sewer gas. Bags of trash in the corridor, dirty carpets, we wore our shoes in the room even.
