Pros:

The lake only from the restaurant.

Cons:

Unfriendly staff, dirty rooms. Bathroom not clean AC not working. Restaurant with bad food Very expensive five star prices but net worth even a 2 star.

Overall very pleasant stay with easy access to walks and downtown.
Pros:

Shuttle bus service to downtown excellent. Very nice drivers and happy to provide local information. I arrived very late at night/early am and staff at reception very courteous. nice to walk around lake.

A very sour taste in our mouths with the hotel and Booking.com.
Pros:

Nothing, we were charged way more than what we booked for and are tied having to pay being a third party.

Cons:

It was extremely dated, no upgrades, falling apart inside and out, musty, expensive, cold and limited smorgasbord breakfast with 0 menu options. Paid way more than we booked for and feel tied because they say it’s though Booking .com. Extremely disappointed.

Close to airport with friendly lodge vibe.
Pros:

Convenient accommodation close to airport and operating a 24 hour free shuttle service. Lakeview and in house restaurant. Alaskan outdoor vibe. Layback friendly staff.

Amazing customer service
Pros:

Arrived to find my booking had been cancelled, after a long journey this was a little scary, however Matias (Paraguay) on reception was absolutely brilliant. Took time to talk me through and sort the issue professionally and even offered a free breakfast for the trouble which was unexpected but really made an impression. Super impressed with his customer service. Huge thank you to Matias! The start of a fabulous stay.

Fun local bar with view with lake views.
Pros:

I’m a local and we visit the Fancy Moose at the Lakefront every week. Good selection of beers, good food, and fun bar. We visit with locals & visitors - have even taken visitors with time to kill on a tour of Anchorage! Julie, the bar tender on Monday & Tuesdays, is delightful. Highly recommend!

This stay was only adequate for our short overnight stay and morning ride to the airport.
Pros:

The location on Lake Hood was good. The shuttle worked well for pick up from the train depot and drop off at the airport.

Cons:

The property smelled like old grease upon entering the lobby and through the restaurants. I did not feel comfortable eating there and there were no other nearby options. A soda from their snack area was $6.00. Our room smelled like smoke and the carpet through the hallways and our room was very faded and gave the impression of being unclean. I would not return or recommend it to others.
