Spacious rooms and friendly staff
Pros:

The room was really nice, I had a short stay and the location was very close UCSD and there were a lot of food options at a walkable distance. The breakfast was better than most hotels I've been at, and they let us do an early check-in for free when we signed up to be a Marriott member

Quiet, convenient, and clean hotel for a stay in La Jolla!
Pros:

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we stayed a night at the Marriott La Jolla. From the very beginning, we were met with the friendliest staff (Asad), who made sure we felt comfortable and knew of all the amenities at the hotel. Parking was super easy and convenient. Our hotel room had everything we needed and was immaculate. I also noticed the hotel itself, while tucked in a somewhat business district, was conveniently located to shopping areas and places of interest in La Jolla (less than 10 min from La Jolla Cove). It was also very quiet and we felt so rested after staying there. We would totally visit this hotel again!

Black ants and Pet smells!! Disappointing for a Marriott!
Pros:

Beds were comfortable. Close to UCSD so continently located to where we needed to be.

Cons:

Small black Ants in the room. Rooms smelled of dog and cat. Our first room smelled of cat pee so I requested a different room and the second room smelled of dog but the smell wasn’t as strong and it was late so I didn’t request another room change. Definitely won’t stay here again.
