Breakfast was good. Not much variety.
I got double booked because my phone lost service right after I put my credit card information in. I didn’t know if went through because there was no confirmation so I started over. When I got to the hotel I found out that I was double booked. I asked them to cancel the 2nd booking, but they said they couldn’t. I went on the Booking.com website to cancel like they said I had to. I received a message from Booking.com a couple days later stating that the hotel denied my request for a refund. I went back to the hotel in person and told that I would not get a refund for the double charge.
Location
When looking on booking com was listed as 63.00 ended up being 102.00. Free breakfast.... Very disappointed in what was offered. Rooms were up on the hill and when we got up the hill cards didn't work to open room so had to go back down hill and get new ones.

Very outdated, the microwave was dirty, could not have a carry out breakfast to my room
Breakfast and dinner are covered although not fancy but healthy and tasty. If I have to stay for week or month it works for me. Room is clean.

Shower curtain rod practically falling off the wall
Handle on shower hot water almost came off in my hand. (I had to tighten the screw)
Huge gaps around front door. Bugs and small critters could easily get in.
Bathroom sink was mounted very crooked on wall

The room was disappointing. The microwave has rust marks, the room smells damp, the towel rod missing. Overall not a pleasing experience
The staff was pleasant/helpful, especially in the complimentary Southern breakfast and dinner room. It's a great value and close to Asheville by highway or secondary road.

I like the free food. The room had plenty of room.
There were blank ants coming up off the floor. Killed probably around 6 of them. The door didn't feel secure because it wouldn't quite shut all the way due to being warped or something. There wasn't a fan that worked in the bathroom. Also, the ice machine was far away and upstairs. Would have been nice to have one closer and on the 1st floor. The listing says mountain view but as I saw it, I was on the mountain and didn't have a view, if you know what I mean.
This hotel is a little dated but clean. I was worried since the cost of a room was 1/3 that of a similar Asheville hotel, but we were relieved to find it nice. The free supper and delicious hot breakfast were a pleasant surprise. The staff were very friendly. I went through booking.com & needed to change the dates. However, I waited a little too late to make the request. We were pleased & grateful when the business approved the change with no penalty.
Bed was great. It was advertised to have dinner and breakfast. Which they never put out. So I was hungry.
