We booked six rooms for our stay, and unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing and certainly not worth the premium price charged.
The rooms were small and cramped, with old, worn-out furnishings that made the hotel feel poorly maintained. The electric kettle in one of the rooms was rusty inside, raising concerns about hygiene and maintenance. The bath towels were also off-white with a brownish tint, giving the impression that they were old and not properly cleaned or replaced.
Noise was another major issue. The rooms faced the street and had very poor sound insulation, so the constant noise from motorcycles and passing vehicles could be heard clearly throughout the night. The beds squeaked with even the slightest movement, and the bed and pillows were too soft and uncomfortable.
Breakfast was equally disappointing. The watermelon served was spoiled and tasted sour. However, the server replaced it.
Given the expensive room rates, we expected a much higher standard of accommodation and service. Instead, the hotel fell short in terms of comfort, maintenance, cleanliness, and food quality. Overall, it offered poor value for money, and based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again or recommend it to others.
We had a delay coming back from the Maldives last month so needed a convenient hotel until the next available flight. In the past we had stayed in a similar property near to Huvan Beach, but were unable to get it. Huvan proved to be a great option. Yes, as some people say, the rooms are not huge and it's a little dated. We had a side view to the beach and the bathroom was large with plenty of warm water. Wi-fi is excellent. The top floor bar has a great view and the restaurant downstairs was also very good.
Best though were the truly wonderful staff, the restaurant team were welcoming, meals were delicious if a little slow but everything is cooked fresh. Also the reception team and managers were outstanding, particularly as we needed help rearranging our plans after the unexpected delay. Big thumbs up to Trevor, the afternoon manager. Highly recommended for a good value short stay.
Very nice close to beach
Not a lot really.
Hotel room was dirty, had to go buy Dettol Wipes but some of the surfaces were old and rotted or delaminated.
The location was on the beach front but our room faced onto an alleyway and a building site, noisy and smelly.
The food is amazing
For me the bed is not soft enough..
Très belle vue sur mer, agréable petit balcon, plusieurs restaurants à proximité. Le centre-ville et les boutiques sont proches à pied, le quartier est très plaisant.
Le personnel est très gentil, serviable et attentionné.
L’hôtel est très proche de l’aéroport, 10 ou 15 minutes en voiture, ce qui est très pratique.
Les hydravions qui passent devant l’hôtel pour amerrir, leur bruit commence au lever du jour et dure toute la journée.
Pas de plage pour touristes dans l’île, il faut donc se baigner avec des vêtements afin de respecter les lois et la culture du pays. Ou ne pas se baigner…
Des lampes de chevet, ou une petite lumière près du lit, auraient été utiles et agréables, l’unique lumière du plafonnier étant assez forte et éblouissante.

I love the view
Room is not very clean
Stayed here for one night, since i came for a meeting. Value for money nice location with clean room. And breakfast was good.
The Guy in the receiption first of all dont know what his doing, He got all my details and after i booked from booking.com and after i paid. he said rooms are not ready he can give in the afternoon. But he gave rooms to the people who came after me and asking me to share with them until i get my room. Luckyly those guys are kown people. And when i went to take my key after the meeting around 4 they didnt have my room key. To see some guy has taken my room key and gone and i had to wait till he brings the key back.
I was very disappointed with my experience and stay at this hotel.
I stayed at Huvan Beach Hotel in Hulhumalé twice, and unfortunately both experiences were disappointing.
During my first stay, I booked a two-bedroom room with a balcony, but the view was terrible and the room was very dirty. There were even cockroaches in the room, which was completely unacceptable.
For my second stay, I decided to give the hotel another chance and booked one of their best categories — a two-bedroom room with an ocean view. Sadly, the experience was still poor. The room had a lot of spider webs, there was a strong smell of dampness, the wardrobes were old and squeaky, and overall cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. Even the bed linen looked dirty.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who does not want to ruin their vacation. The location may be good, but cleanliness and room maintenance are extremely disappointing.
Bathroom is in bad condition
Extremely helpful accommodating staff and great location and great views from the rooms.
What I like in this hotel are the staffs were kind, helpful and accommodating. It’s accessible also to different variety of restaurants and also its a walking distance only. They provide free breakfast. And shout out to Mr. Bhagya Nath for his great service and understanding the needs of the guest as its shows not about the money or profit they care but how the guests concerned are heard. Thank you Sir!
